This is a classic Christmas movie and I always see it with my family

Still a classic , now even better looking in 4K they did a great job with the 4k transfer even the audio is impressive

This movie is hilarious! It is a holiday staple. Why? "I don't know Margo!!"

Being an older movie, this won’t look as pristine as something made recently, but this is still a hands-down improvement over the 2006 blu ray. Granted, that release wasn’t great to begin with, but this new release looks awesome and is (probably) the best this will look on home video. Never having seen the 2015 blu ray, I can’t verify how much better this looks, but if you have this movie on DVD or the 2006 blu ray, this is definitely worth the upgrade!

This movie is a no-brainer definitely on if you love this movie definitely a huge classic. The Dolby Vision looks stunning, the Dolby 5.1 sounds good.

This is not exactly the type of movie you have to upgrade your standard HD copy for, but it's essential regardless.

I had never seen this movie, I was not sure I would like it. But it was very good, it's the same "vehicle" as the other Vacation movies but with the John Hughes touch, so not just totally crass. The video is top notch here, the restoration team did a great job with the scan both for definition and colors, which are not saturated and overly bright, but accurate and even. Audio is also excellent.

Like watching the film for the first time!!! Incredible 4k transfer!!! Highly recommend!!!

Great holiday movie, watch it every year, 4K transfer is a nice upgrade to my old DVD.

As far as christmas classics go at the movies, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is near the top, whether you are a fan of the series or not. The movie is good silly fun and one of the things that makes it so much fun is that Chevy Chase dials down his own performance to embody the role of the family man trying to engineer a perfect holiday for his family. Unfortunately, the family makes it very difficult to do that...and if THEY'RE not the ones getting in the way, the neighbors, work, and murphy's law all are. There is a underlining current of reality among all the hijinks and shenanigans that the cast encounters, which is what makes it relatable AND incredibly funny. Unfortunately, the 4k/Blu Ray package that WB released is not one that will sit on your shelf as an example of what the medium is capable of. The 4k is an upgrade over the blu-ray but it does have some softness to it's visual appearance. The blu ray included in the package is the 25th anniversary disc, which was a remastered edition in and of itself. Both are serviceable and look most likely the best that either has ever looked. Extras wise, there is very little to experience here. There is an audio commentary on both the 4k and Blu ray disc, and there is a trailer on the blu ray. So...audio and video are decent and the best that this film has had. The complete lack of special features, though, really is a bit of an obstacle to recommending it as an across the board upgrade. If you don't have 4k OR the 25th Anniversary blu ray, go for it. If you do have the 25th anniversary blu ray and don't have 4k skip it. If you are all 4k all the time, than might as well pick it up!

One of the classics! A holiday season without this movie would be a terrible one.

National Lampoon's really hit it out of the park with this one, it really captures the insanity and craziness of the Griswold family, something that was missing in European Vacation (still funny, but not nearly as the first and this). For me personally, this is my Christmas movie. Some may be turned off by the comedy, but that's what makes it enjoyable. Not all Christmas get-together's are perfect and I think this movie sums that up very well. It's certainly over-the-top, but done well enough that you won't feel bad for watching and probably liking it. Returning as family Griswold is Chevy Chase as Clark, Beverly D'Angelo as Ellen and Randy Quiad as cousin Eddie. Juliette Lewis plays Audrey (who apparently got over Jack because she got super thin and turned blond). Fans of 'The Big Bang Theory' may recognize a very young Johnny Galecki who plays Clark's son, Rusty. Even in this, he has a bit of that snarky delivery that you'll instantly recognize. There are some other notable appearances for the Griswold family as well, making this a truly eventful gathering. It's a fun movie with a great cast and even better story. You can't go wrong!

Great Christmas movie. The UHD transfer is great and the audio is a new 5.1 DTS-HD. The blu-ray that is included is the same as the 2015 release which is a lot better than the 2008 release which was just a dvd transfer on blu-ray. The blu-ray audio is 2.0 which is ok. Overall a great movie and transfer worth upgrading from blu-ray.

All I have to say is wow! This is my all time favorite Christmas movie right next to a Christmas story. When I heard it was coming to 4k I blew my top. This is the best this is going to look and the quality is awesome. Dolby vision hdr adds a twist that really gives it its pop. Cop this and I guarantee you you will not be disappointed.
