The ends that are used to plug and unplug are solid. I hope that it prooves to last a long time, not fault out like cheaper versions. Also, the snap feature is very nice because I can wrap it nicely to put into my center compartment and not leave it laying out in my car when not in use.

Yeah, it's a cable with one main function: to connect your phone to a power source. Because it's braided, it's supposed to withstand more abuse than a regular plastic cable, but mine lasted about two months before it began displaying faulty connection behavior whenever you moved it slightly while connected.
