Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the E618 Elliptical's sturdiness and quiet operation as significant advantages. However, some users mention challenges with the assembly process, and a few note that the machine's size and stride length may not suit everyone. The accuracy of the distance tracking is also a point of concern for some customers. While many appreciate its robust build and low noise, potential buyers should consider the assembly time and the machine's overall dimensions.

I purchased the E618 two weeks ago and received it as promised two days ago. The quality of the machine is very sturdy; although the pause/stop button sticks and you have to push it a couple of times. However, I am disappointed in the delivery of what was promised in the advertisement and what delivered. One of the main reasons we chose this product was the virtual courses (RunSocial) and the bluetooth connectivity. Unbeknownst to us, RunSocial is no longer supported or you have to change your region from US in order to access it. The Nautilus manual is less than informative and outdated. Apparently, they are now using Explore the Word app; which is free, however there are only 6 selections to choose and the rest classified as "premium" require a subscription. As for the bluetooth, unlike most connectivities where it simply identifies a device, you must download Explore the World first before connectivity can take place. Since this is only my second day using the machine I cannot share any additional information. If anyone else has feedback regarding my experience, please help because at this point we could have purchased a basic machine. At least we would have known what to expect. Thank you.

This is exactly what I was hoping for when we got an eliptical. Assembly was a bit time consuming, but it’s a nice piece of equipment. We’ve only been using it for a week or two now, but have no complaints thus far.

Can't see screen when holding device

Good value, but make sure you keep lubricating periodically, like once every week. Otherwise, it will make noise. No other complaints on workmanship, but there's not much room for your device, and when you use it, you can't see the screen! The USB is for audio speaker only I think, not a charger.

So far so good. It is very sturdy, works well and it looks great in our space. I don't hear any of the noise that other reviewers mentioned and hope it will stay that way. It isn't as intuitive to use all the bells and whistles it comes with. I do need to refer to the online manual often but excpect that to become less frequent with more use. I'm so glad we paid for the installation as it took two guys to set it up and it took them about an hour or so.

    Solid Machine, Good Buy

Great elliptical, solidly built, good welds, experience is smooth and very comparable to what you'd use at the gym (which cost 2-3 times as much). Also, heavy gauge steel. It will take 2.5-3 hours to put together and it'll go easier if you have someone assisting you. May be worth paying for pre-assembly before delivery. Also, it's a tall machine, you'd want at least eight foot ceilings in the room it's in, but seven foot ceilings may be OK, but cozy. Finally, the electronics are a bit of a joke, you're paying for the exercise experience, not the speakers!

Full disclosure, I am older and completely out of shape. When I decided to try to get in better health, my biggest concern was having equipment that was sturdy. I don't care much about compatibility with apps, I just wanted good equipment that I wasn't afraid to use. I paid for the delivery and assembly, and for them to remove the old equipment. They arrived as expected and got to work immediately. After they finished the assembly, something was a little creaky, and the gentlemen took one arm apart to address that. Six months later, it is a little creaky again, but the best I can tell, it is sound. The top seems a tiny bit wobbly while in motion, but not like it's unsafe or anything. The bottom of the elliptical is fine. I had a cheaper elliptical in the late 1990s/early 2000s, and the motion on this one is a little more like a stepper. It's not difficult but took me a bit to get used to it. The first level of resistance is a bit tough, but I have no intention of getting to the top level, so I am fine moving slow. The distance and calorie count are incorrect, so if that is important to you, this is not for you. The arms are oddly close to each other. If you need to reach for your phone or other in the little holder, the arms make that tricky while you are in motion. Also, this is a large machine, and for someone not in great condition, consider your safety when getting on and off. The first month I actually used a stepstool to get on. I debated between 3 and 4 stars, and settled with 3+, because they still advertised the app features even though it is established those are no longer an option. They should lower the price on this for that reason. Also, because that first level has so much resistance, this is not really for someone who hasn't already achieved a certain level of fitness. I do think I would recommend this to a friend, at the right price.

Solid machine, works very well. However, assembly takes a lot of work and concentration - over 3 hors, with 2 people. If you can afford to have it assembled for you, I suggest paying for it.

I decided to buy this elliptical machine in order to keep track of my workouts, however this machine is terrible when it comes to connecting to your device and connecting to any services. Just to get started, the app that is in the manual does not exist anymore (see the question posted in the product listing [1]). After researching more, Nautilus now recommends to use a third-party app [2] which is terrible. It has 2 stars in the App Store (checked on 2/7/21). There is no way you can get meaningful insights from this app. It's just a bad joke. I'm completely disappointed as I invested a lot of money in a machine that would help me get insights of my workouts. The product is really sturdy and good quality, happy about that. I’m just unhappy about 1) price said $1,999 on sale for $1,399- now it says regular price $1,399, who knew they mark up to mark down, I absolutely do not appreciate that. 2) i scheduled a delivery day just to receive an email that same say to reschedule without an explanation - I had to call and reschedule for 2 weeks ahead- they did offer a 10% refund which I was happy with, but I’m not happy about them disclaiming a higher normal price when $1,399 is the regular price, that’s just not right.

WOW! I weight 300 pounds and I was nervous about EVERYTHING! But honestly, everything is great! The stride is 22 inches, so it is a mix of stair-master and elliptical so you get an amazing workout. I can't do longer than 30 minutes on level 1! My wife even breaks a sweat! I get on it everyday no matter for how long. Great workout. Smooth workout. No pain at all. All the gyms are closed so this is a great alternative to staying in shape, worth the cost. Make the sacrifice for your good health.

I like the Nautilus elliptical, it is easy to use. You can connect wireless with an app and it keeps track of your workouts. You can set up several user profiles. The only downside on our end is that it is rather big and bulky as we have a smaller home. It's a good product and we enjoy using it on a regular basis.

Great elliptical for the price! I waited for this baby to restock and I’m glad I pulled the trigger! My husband is a Certified Personal Trainer and he did his research on a lot of ellipticals and picked this one out for me. He’s tested it out and he approves!! It’s glides smoothly on the rails. It’s worth the money.

Great machine. Display is great, all the bells and whistles. However, moving from treadmill to elliptical. Use to walk 1 hour a day on treadmill. Couldn’t even do 5 mins on elliptical. Took me 4 weeks, now up to 10 mins a day. Elliptical is a lot easier on my knee, back and feet. Harder to do, but better for joints.

Poor product. Poor Best Buy service. I had geek squad assembly it and deliver it. They arrived and didn't level the machine. I used it an hour later and one of the pedals literally hit the floor and I had to fix it. Before then, I tried to pedal it on level 1 and it felt like I was working out on level 15. It also shakes like a plane in a thunderstorm. I called Geek Squad several times and can't get help unless I wait on hold for 45 minutes. I set appointment online for them to pick it up and refund my money. Nobody showed up or called to tell me they would not show. Terrible experience. I may go to small claims court to get my money back for the defective assembly fee of $200. It has been a horrible experience, which is rare for Best Buy.

We all know gyms are going to change post COVID and this machine would be a great addition to your home. While we’ve only had it for a couple weeks, me and the old lady really like this so far. It’s better than most standard machines at a gym and comes with enough bells and whistles to provide variety. Highly recommended to others interested in building a home gym. For reference, we have a 700 square foot home and found a place for it.
