The gameplay overall is like any other nba game out there, but the game doesn't compare in graphics to nba live 09. It's fun to play and has a story mode where u create your own player and progress him throughout his career and it also has a franchise mode and online play. The game does support trophies for the playstation which is pretty fun to try and obtain some of them. The videos in the beginning of the players are a good addition to the game, makes it seem realistic. Overall, the game is pretty good, but i do not think it is worth $59.99 because of the graphics in the game.

I do like how this is the only NBA game that uses authentic TV graphics (TNT in this case) as well as the full HD capability, but that's about it. In one game that I played, I went on a 13-2 run with MY team, but it showed an on-screen graphic saying that the opposing team had gotten that scoring run. The graphics aren't much more impressive than those of PS2 games, and the announcers remind me of the ones on my March Madness 2001 game for my old PS1... not very interactive at all. I had to ged rid of this game within 24 hours... I felt like its presence was affecting the resale value of my house. If you can afford NBA 2K9, this game is not worth the difference in price.

This is an amazing game!! I was reluctant at first but the game proved by wrong. The grapgics are amazing. The gameplay is the most realistic I have ever played and it is so smoth. This is definetly a GOOD BUY. Especially for 19.99.

This game has terrible graphics. They look like PS2 graphics, not to mention that the game is not smooth at all. It's surprising that this game was made by the same people who made MLB '09 The Show, because that game is fantastic in every area. If you want to know what a real NBA game looks like, buy 2k9.
