I preordered this game and once I opened it, I noticed that the disk inside was a 2k21 standard game disk. So then when I went to install it on my Xbox, it not only installed the standard version, but even after I entered both of the bonus content codes (that came with the game) it did nothing. I have none of the perks of the "Mamba Forever Edition" nor the preorder bonuses. So I feel cheated.

This year’s version on current gen consoles isn’t anything new. The glitches and cheats from the previous year are all in this game and haven’t been addressed. The shot aiming meter is brutal and is a headache to get used to. The game looks exactly the same as it did last year with very little visual/graphical improvement. I’ve been a NBA2K fan ever since they first released on the Dreamcast back in 1999. I say that to say this, 2K21 is a copy and paste game from last year’s model. It’s a decent game. Nothing spectacular tho.

Purchased this game for my grandson's birthday and he was so excited. He said he asked his parents and they said "We'll see". Every kid hearing that answer would be kind of disappointed. I pre-ordered the game to make sure that he got it on time. Anyway, when my wife and I called and spoke to him we could hear it in his voice that he wasn't happy. Well after a long talk we told him that we bought it for his birthday. He was very quiet and then he said thank you but we could hear it in his voice that he was crying because he got the game he wanted. He love this game and plays with his friends online every day. Well worth seeing your grandchildren happy.

Same game as last year literally nothing different waiting for new gen to see if it’s and different if not complete waste of money.

great game super fun to play comes with a headstart with all that vc and you get other cool things in the game.

First this is a must have for any Kobe fan I love that Best Buy had the steelbook come with this game looks awesome been a 2k fan since the Dreamcast days this is another great installment for 2k

This game is great! I have NBA 2K20 on the PS4 Pro. I was skeptical about buying the next version based on the reviews. I decided to buy it on the Xbox One X because of the frame rate and 4K. This game is awesome! I play this game all the time! You also get a downloadable code inside the box for the Xbox Series version! If the Series X will be better than this, I'm in for one heck of journey! Even though the Pro is 4K, the Xbox One X version is just better! Some people will complain about everything! I see more positive reviews now because they didn't listen to the nonsense!

My husband is a huge Kobe fan so he had to have the Mamba Forever edition. He loves playing owners mode and creating his own team and arena. It's good to see him happy with career mode. He's not complaining about shooting and making baskets. Lol. He says NBA 2K21 is way better than NBA 2K20 playing wise. He noted he wished the career mode was a little longer.

This game is on point!! Taking into consideration what 2k had to work with. Considering everything that’s happened this year and the fact they couldn’t produce a totally revamped game, it is upgraded. You can feel it in the controls. I believe they made it known on 2ktv a couple weeks ago the game wasn’t going to be “Brand New!!“but improved upon. People hate change (shot meter) but it’s not that difficult... just takes patience. The fluidity or flow of player movement is what I love most about this year.

My initial review for this game would've been a due to me not receiving my pre-order items. After multiple messages and emails being sent to 2k I received my items 3 days later. As far as the game itself goes its pretty much the same as 2k20 with minor upgrades. So if you enjoyed 2k20 you should definitely like 2k21.

Glad I could give this as a gift to a special friend. As soon as I handed it to them, they opened it up. Hours of fun.

I get 2K every year, the shot meter is different but overall the game is a blast and I love the tribute to Kobe.

As with most 2k game iterations, this is a brand new edition of the NBA game which is very similar to 2k20 with some new paint and polish. The biggest change is the shot meter, which giving the online reviews so far, has not been received well. Still, it is a pretty nice basketball game.

Glad I got the game and enjoying it. For my career mode specifically shot meter is good when using X button on the Xbox but using the right stick still tricky to use. Overall games good but would next generation console will be way better game graphically and possibly story wise.

I am not a fan of buying the ultimate edition for any sports game, but I highly recommend this one for the cover only! And if you can get the steelbook at Best Buy that comes with it, do it! The game is a nice step up from the previous installment. As always, the new shot mechanics will take some getting used to, but they are for the better! Also, Mamba edition grants you Series X version upon release. Buy this edition!

Great game. At first it was rocky but the update fixed it. I gave it a 4 because I couldn’t give it a 3.5. It didn’t come with the VC’s it was promised. I got the physical copy and friend got the digital. None of us got it. All in all, a great basketball game.

Only played one game so far, can't really reach a conclusion on that part as it feels similar to last years iteration. Got this for the Mamba Forever Edition bonuses and steelbook though, which is awesome. Lost a star for the crazy price point though
