NBA 2K9 is one of the best basketball games out there. Its live rosters, great graphics and audio makes it one of the best sports games out there. The price for this game is great. The only problem is that it has not alot of featues, long learning curve make it a dull game. I would only recommend this for people who live basketball.

I don't like how they got rid of Lobbies online so you can't really pick your opponant to make sure they aren't a quitter or rook, and sometimes it takes forever to connect to a match, but once you're connected, its awesome. Its hard, so ROOKS NEVER WIN! I don't like how they changed dunking. and ally-oops are not nearly as sick as they were in 2k8. But i LOVE HOW REALISTIC/HARD IT IS!

Once again 2K9 put out anohter great game. The graphics are gareat. The Crowd is alive, game play is smooth as silk. moves are good. The gameplay is so real when I play with the spurs on a fast break bruce bowen runs into the corner of the court to set up for a three like in real life. Also when the lakers play in real life the lights in the stadium are only turned on on the court while the rest of the stadium is dark 2K9 displays that just like in real life. Only knock I have on it is that the online doesn't have game lobby to pick who you want to play. Would like to see the coaches talk As well as draw up game winning plays. I recommend 2K9 there is nothing close to this game it separates the Men from the boys. If your a kid and just want to do unrealistic dunks and moves play NBA live. If you wanna play a real game Play 2K9

Nba 2k9 is a great game , it's just like the nba the dunks, the shooting,the defense,when a team in the nba is hot ,there hot in the game, when a player is nice in real life , there un-stoppable in the game , but because its actually like the nba , that brings 2k to a downfall, it's dam near impossible to get a dunk or lay-up unless its on fast break, the cpu really improved their defense its hard to cross dem over, and its hard to control certain players like jamal crawford because it has the players actual release . But 2k9 is better than live 09 ,live improved but no where near 2k, live still looks like arcade nba jam ,and the defense and moves are still garbage, live has dna, which means if a player is good in real life then he's good in the game etc. but fyi 2k does the same its just not called DNA; so get 2k9

The box says it self #1 NBA video game.Ever since this game came out it has been above and beyond EA's title.With the crowd rip roaring on a big game play.Players pulling off that impossible shot,and the controls are silky smooth.But with any video game always comes flaws.This time around instead of making lay-ups impossible they made free-throws a little harder than before.When you get the ball into the post it's kind of hard to make your guy back down or sometimes shoot the ball.But that's not any reason not to get this game.I think that the 2K series has come along way to be #1 when it comes to Graphics,Sound,Controls,and just plain fun.

I really like how 2k updates the rosters and I really love the teamup mode which let's you be a specific player on the team. I'd say it's pretty cool, but sometimes people don't do what they do... I saw people shoot 3 pointers with Yao Ming and miss everytime. Plus the connection is really really annoying. To connect to xbox live for 2k it takes 5 minutes to load. REALLY annoying!!!. Plus if you wanna play team-up it sometimes kicks you out for no reason or the game doesn't load. I recommend this game only for Basketball addicts and if other friends have this so you can play team-up. I would give it 5/5 if they fixed the connection. (My connection is great on other games)

Ight so when day on my way home i went to blockbuster to rent nba live 09 but they didn't have it. So instead i rented this game and I love it. I am not usually a fan basketball games but this one changed my mind. The graphics are outstanding. The game play is great. I love the idea of the shot stick Its very fun to use. It is defiantly the most realistic bball game I have every played.

the realest basketball simulation ever made. each player has there own unique style of play, lebron attacks the bucket like no other on the game and kobe's all around game showcases why he's he best in the league ever since i purchased the game i havent put it down i dont think i'll put it down till 2k10 hits the market!

One reason I like this game so much is that I am the kind of video game player that likes sports alot! I play many video games that are only about sports. NBA 2K9 is the #1 sports game I had ever played in my entire life and trust me I have played many sports video games. I can name so many great things about this game. Let me begin, graphics are amazing all the players look just like they do in real life, it is easy to play but can be challenging in a fun way, you can do street games, dunk contests, 3 point shot-outs, franchise and season mode, quick game with all your friends, NBA drafts, and my personal favorite creating your own people. Oh, and there is alot more don't worry. Buy NBA 2K9 now!

The game is great !!! The graphics are amazing and game play is very smooth. The players take there real shots and have real FT%. Dont waste your time and money on NBA Live. The players look alot better in 2k9 than in live. I give up on EA sports basketball games. 2k is better.

I really enjoy playing this game, but I think there are some flaws in it though. The dribbling when crossing people over or changing directions is kind of messed up, but it's decent. The shooting is a little difficult, and it takes a while to get used to. The dunking is also a little tweaked. Passing right through the defender's body. Ref calling is very off as well. Need better lines for announcers.

Everything about this game is terrible except the graphics. First off they do this terrible shooting control with the analog stick, second most of the controls are unresponsive. Your players commit the worst fouls like a guy on offense somehow committed a shooting foul on his own teammate. Also Steve Nash blocked a Kevin Garnet dunk! all the camera angles are terrible, and if you try to shoot a corner three, the camera view is so bad you almost always step out of bounce. Calling plays is really hard because you have to choose from 7 to 10 plays while dribbling the ball. Lastly the online takes forever to find players and has the most horrible lag I have ever experienced in a game, even worse then madden. Do not buy!

This game is by far the best basketball game that i have ever played. The graphics are so real, even down to the score-boards reflections on the court. And the players in the game actually look like what they look like in real life, its awesome.

This is a pretty fun game. I do think that the stars of the NBA are a little to good. I fouled Kobe and he turned around and flipped it up backwards and made it. He was just hitting everything and blocking my shots three times in a row. Besides that the game is fun. Controls can get some getting use to if you want to get really good.

This game can be fun at times, but then you will actually realize why this game is terrible. This game is fun to play against friends, but playing against the computer is terrible. Your team is usually terrible at defense, and cannot guard someone when they make a cut. Also players will not get open on their own, so you have to dribble around until you can make a clear pass to the player. Finally, how many times have you seen someone get blocked going up for a dunk, Maybe once a week. The computer will block most of the dunks, even on a breakaway. Overall terrible game

really great game but im not a huge NBA fan create a player is pretty awesome and the player uniforms and detail are great

This game is absolutly amazing! I have been purchasing the 2K series of basketball games since the dreamcast. I honestly have to say this one takes the cake. I was a HUGE live fanboy since 95 but for the past several years it has been on a decline. I didnt even hesitate deciding between the two. The AI is amazing this year and it should be a true challenge even for the expierenced gamer. HAVE FUN!!!

This is a great game for anyone that is interested in basketball. This game has a lot of content and great game modes including street games from 1 on 1 to a full game of 5 on 5. The graphics are great and the characters act like they do in real life. Playing while on X-box live is also fun. I recommend this game to anyone that likes to play basketball.

This game is amazing! Graphics are so realistic and so is the audio and crowd. I love how the players actually sweat...you will totally feel as if you are at an actual basketball game!! I recommend this game to anyone who is a basketball lover!

its a fun game to play and if your debating between 2k9 or live 09 i would get 2k9 its has better gameplay
