The NBA Live series has come a long way. In a few years, the series has gone from an absolute joke, to an actual fleshed out and worthwhile game. I still would like to see Live give you more flexibility in the franchise mode like NBA 2k does. To be more specific, I would like to be able to play as any team I want to during franchise mode within the same season. This is not something Live allows you to do at this time. The other aspect that needs a little work is the post game. It feels a little generic. I do like the efforts Live has put into the animations. They definitely are closing in on 2k in this area. Where Live has won me over, is the continual evolution of this game. Since the game has been released, the Live development team has been hard at work with numerous gameplay improvement patches as well as visual enhancements. Most of which were pulled from NBA Live community feedback. Some people see this as a negative, stating that this game should have had these patches in place prior to it's initial release. However, I look at it as great customer service and a willing to listen to their community to give us what we want. There is not enough of this going on in the gaming industry and it is a very welcomed concept. Most games will have periodic improvements that occur over the course of several follow up releases, but Live's team has made the effort to continually improve a product that has been out for over 4 months now. We will have to see what that will mean for NBA Live '20, but in the meantime, I applaud EA and the Live development team for their efforts in trying to give their fans a quality product.

If you enjoyed 18, then you will really like this game. The one mode on this year's game is basically the same, but it improves on they way you can customize your character. Passing is will be an issue for those who spam the A button. It seems like the blocks are turned down some from previous years, but you will still get swatted A LOT. Is this game 2k? No, but I highly recommend this game for anyone that enjoys the NBA. Also has WNBA on this year's game, too!

NBA Live 19 is a very fun and solid basketball game. It's a bit arcadey and probably a little too easy to score in the paint but it makes for a good experience. The players move much more naturally and fluidly compared to the 2K series. You also don't hit brick walls and experience canned animations like in 2K. Defense, especially blocking shots is way too easy but the upside is there are plenty of sliders to adjust the difficulty level of things like this. The franchise mode is not real deep but I actually kind of like not having to worry about managing 50 different things for a change. It's nice to be able to just get in and play my franchise games. NBA Live isn't perfect but I'd recommend it if you are looking for an enjoyable, easy to play game with friends or against the computer.

Great NBA game. In my opinion it is better than 2K18-20. Online options are a little weak but the gameplay and music is way better. Plus you get 2020 rosters updated while they skipped a release this year to make a better version for next year.

Awesome game! Tons to do in this game. In my opinion, this game is better than NBA 2K19

I love the game. Playing in the Drew League and building my character is very similar to the 2K MyPlayer. Will definitely have a difficult choice next year when choosing a bball game. Also, can't beat the price over the 2K series.

It is a very realistic game with many playing choices! There are however updates that can take up to two hours but the game itself is very fun, I would recommend this game to a friend.

They really nailed it this time and it comes through all the way. The building of the new character and their career progression are both very realistic and do not nickle-and-dime you like other basketball games. I really like the graphics and the fluid moves of the players too. Overall, this is really on par with other 2k-like games without too much of the added expense to build your character. You can spend money if you want but it is not necessary. Definitely buy this game under $25 and you will be totally satisfied.

My kids love this game. The graphics are amazing! It’s more advanced than the App. for the iPad. Better features and options.

I really missed the college basketball games that EA put out back in the day. I'm not much of an NBA fan anymore, but I wanted to play a basketball game so I had to go NBA. One of the main reasons I choose this title is because of the price. Its a good game, I like the one feature, the shooting is good, and gameplay is easy to adapt to and use. I will buy future versions of this title.

Pros - intuitive dribbling system - leveling up your player is fun, fast and easy - skill gap to be a good defender - huge improvement over live 18 - court battles - graphics are much improved! Cons - lack of franchise improvements - layups need to be nerfed very slightly - still needs more animations - body types are too similar Overall this is the first live in a long time I can recommend to a friend. It's just fun!

Players move flawless. Music is great. Love the feel of the game.

The core basketball game and its various modes offer plenty of chances to have a fun basketball experience. The new animation system makes action on the court look and act more realistic than ever, and a robust training mode gives plenty of opportunity to improve. Sometimes the canned commentary can hold the game back some.

Great game great graphics. I like this over 2K19 and the price is better.

Great game at the time. Was better then 2K series at the time and the shooting mechanism was much better. It was easy to score and do assists, but this became too easy if you knew how, unless playing a skilled defender. Graphics were good at the time and rosters were easy. A great game for it's year.
