I ordered the card online from Best Buy. The card was mailed on time but when we tried to use it, it gave an error code. We took it to a Best Buy store to see if by ordering it online it was not active but they said we could not activate it at the register unless we rebought it and they would not give a refund for a gift card. Not wanting to spend $50 on a $25 card we declined and are now trying to contact the gift card’s main business for further assistance. I do not recommend buying this item online from Best Buy and I am confused why they would send a non-functional product that can’t be refunded.

I love these cards. They are very convenient. I have several Guild Wars 2 accts and these allow me to buy gems and use them on the different accts. Great gifts for any Guild Wars 2 player. Very convenient if you don't have a credit card or don't want to use your credit card online. Highly recommend these.

GW2 is rather unique in a way, you pay full price once then NCSoft lets you just play. No monthly fees and no need to buy more content to play the full or expanded game. This comes at the cost of microtransactions for side things like extra character, bag, or bank slots. Sure you can grind gold to get gems in game for free, but why not support the company that doesn't keep charging you every month with $15 dollars and roll that extra few characters you always wanted. Its not like they are charging you that for nothing every month and then trying to trick you into buying expansion packs with new features & updated art packs that are at no additional cost in GW2.

Pretty much what gems are used for. You can always exchange ingame gold for gems, but if you're lazy, this will do the trick to get those weird costumes and skins.

Best Buy IS a great place to shop. I just wish they would stop re-arranging the store. Once you get used to something being in a place they change it and make you have to hunt through the entire store to find it again. Even the employees have a hard time remembering where things are located.

If there’s something you want in the game it can be worth it to buy the gems.

Wanted to add an extra storage bag slot for carrying more treasure. No easier way than to spend gems on that 5th slot. In addition, gems provide the quickest way to obtain other valuable items not available in world regions.

How can you go wrong? You purchase the card and enter code and boom, instant access to black lion gem store. Armor/weapon skins are my personal favorite, but who doesn't want rare minis or new hair style as well.

Being able to buy this card in store is great! Most of my friends play GW2 and its a favorite gift for holidays and birthdays because it is a convenient way to invest in a common interest.

Awesome game. I had some reward zone coupons left over, and I didn't really need anything else.. I really like Guild Wars 2, it's probably the best MMO that you can play right now.

Bought this for my daughter and Best Buy had it in stock.

Prefer to buy my gems in-game because I get them instantly and don't have to wait for them to ship.. but the price was slightly more reasonable here (may have been a sale.)

My daughter looks to purchase things online frequently so I often have her look up to see if a gift card can be used and this was one of them

If you are an avid guild wars 2 player, you may want this. While you can get a $25 dollar version, this is great for those who can't get an,extra $10.

Buying these Gem cards is the easiest way to earn them, as the in-game currency exchange is now no longer a valid option for most players.
