Black Lion Trading Company in game doesn't have the same denomination as the gift cards. This is a lot easier and you get exactly what you want to pay for.

The cost for gems in the game is exactly the same as the cost of buying gems using these cards. The downside is that you have to spend the time and energy buying the card and then redeeming it in game. The benefit is that you also earn Best Buy Reward Zone points, so you are getting a little more for your purchase. I always grab a $15 card when I'm at Best Buy just in case something comes up that I want to buy in game. If you have to make a trip to Best Buy just to get this card it may not be worth the time and gas to drive to Best Buy through.

If you need gems for the game - this is pretty much your go-to if you don't want to buy them online, or want to gift them to someone special.

Guild Wars 2 is a Buy to Play game that is great. It does feature a cash shop, which allows you to obtain unique 'skins' and items for your characters. None of these are required, but I choose to get them anyway.

If you need Gems, you might as well get them through the cards rather than directly since they are occasionally on sale at Best Buy, and you also get the points benefits from the Best Buy member program.

Although the price is a little high, the in game benefits can be very helpful, and, possibly, even save in game money! Not necessary to play but a great resource if you have the money to spend!

I bought this to get a couple more character slots and storage space on my account. I think the price is fair considering the current exchange rate in-game. No issues at all redeeming the card, either.
