NFS is pretty much the only game that I play anymore. I have played them all from PS1 to now. This release is little off. You are sort of forced to follow missions IN ORDER to continue through the game. There is a lot of extra mini missions like jumping through billboards or locating digital coins while free roaming around the map but it is not that interesting. And the voice talking of your "crew" is so repetitive is gets annoying at times. At first it was kind of cool that the interaction was going on and thought it to be part of the story line, but after playing for a couple weeks, they seem to say the same stuff over and over. Overall, it is a decent game to play and if you're a NFS junky, then obviously you will sort of like it. I don't plan on stopping over these little things, but if I compared it to the other NFS games, I would put this one at the bottom of list.

Imo I thought need for speed payback was pretty fun to just mess around in an open freeroam, what I didn't like about it was the autos handled horribly, worse than arcade style that NFS franchise was brought up on. I also thought the story was way too short and the ppl didn't talk very often.

Past Need For Speed games often featured a cops versus robbers theme, but Payback eschews that in favour of street-racing.

It's a good game, and another Need For Speed addition to the lineup.

Haven't played video games in years. Thanks to this COVID-19 situation I am stuck indoors. Figured I might as well put my X Box to use. Storyline could be better. Graphics are ok. Has provided hours of entertainment. For $19.99, I'm not complaining.

It’s been a while since I played Need for Speed... that being said, picking up this game was a good option. Typical racing style and easy to get back into. Most racing games are the same these days and this one stands out slightly with the different environments it offers.

This was on my son's Christmas wish list. Hopefully he loves it, though I'm sure he will because he loves race games.

EA and Ghost games needs to fix this game's progression system.

My grandson has the other race car Xbox games and I know he will enjoy this and and I got it on sale at Best Buy

I haven't played need for speed in a long time, but decided to get this. I like the game, but what I didn't like is sometimes you'll be racing then the cut scene takes over. But overall I do recommend it for a $20 game.

I'm a big fan of car games and so is my son. We both love to play car games together. I got a good deal on this game and have been playing almost daily. It's an awesome game with good graphics.

I was hesitant on getting this but when I found out it had a single player mode I had tto pick it up

Just preordered the upcoming game. Love the Need For Speed franchise and can not wait to play it.
