I purchased this product to use as a burner to make small 1 gallon batches of beer, the hope was to make 3 gallons maximum in the future. At 1500W the burner should have been able to boil 1 gallon of water quickly...you'd think. However, the thermal switch (a nice safety feature that should be able to be adjusted or over-ridden) kept cutting out so the element took forever to get the liquid up to 170°F. If you want hot but not boiling, this is a sturdy burner for you. However, with the disappointing attribute of the thermal switch cutting off, this was a worthless purchase for me. The burner was well made, clean design and heavy duty. Suited for keeping soup warm.

It is just ok. It wasn’t expensive so it’s not such a let down. It takes a while for it to heat up and the temperature doesn’t stay consistent. The stainless is definitely not stainless though.

Stopped functioning after one use. I tested this device by heating water to hard boil some eggs. Next, followed shut down instructions after use. Lowered heat to min, turned power control to off and unplugged device. The next day, device would not turn on. I tried many start up variations to get device to work. Nothing worked. This item is not sold in stores anywhere in the NYC area and I purchased it online. I made the mistake of not doing a thorough online search for customer reviews. There are very few reviews at BestBuy. However, I just searched for reviews at other vendor sites and there are a huge number of similar complaints. There are also a large number of complaints where device malfunction after a vendor return policy. Don't take a chance of buying this lemon. Luckily, my device stopped working after one use and BestBuy is a great company with a great return policy. Their customer service department assured me I will not have any issues returning this product to one of their stores.

i bought this product to have at work it works great the only thing is the knob turns on really easy it has no click when you turn it off so i have to unplug it every time I'm done with it so it wont turn on with any movement.

This unit works great. We have a glass top stove and do not use cast iron pans on it. This unit works great for a single cast iron skillet. It heats up quick and the cast iron top holds the heat so there is less fluctuation in temperature.

The stove is very nice and it is good so far. It is working so far perfectly.

When I used this, I find it's not exactly 1500W, because It takes very long time to become fully hot. Not good for regular use.

Great Electric Burner. Small and easy to use. Great heat power. Useful outdoors.

Have used hot plates before by far this one is the best

Absolute junk. Received it on October 5 pulled it out on October 27 to use it for only the fourth time and it will not work and Best Buy will not return it. Worst return policy ever will not purchase anything from here any more.

I bought this burner so I wouldn't have to put my cast iron on my glass top stove. I am VERY happy with the heat it puts out.

This is wonderful. Just what I wanted. I make Turkish coffee all the time. Thanks

Do not buy this didnt even last a month after two uses.

We purchased this burner on 09-15-17 and picked it up on 09-25-17. We've probably used it 15 times or less, and it completely quit working last week. We were in the middle of making apple jelly for Christmas gifts. We tried to return it to Best Buy on 12-11-17, but they have a one month time limit for returns. We will be contacting Nesco for assistance; hopefully, they will make it right.
