Didn't Last Long

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For the most part, this machine worked OK (would have rated it 3 or 4 stars) but it only lasted about 18 months. This was despite de-calcification on a regular basis, keeping parts clean, etc. During the last month of its life, the machine began to leak badly every time I used it. In addition, the various brew modes became unreliable and sometimes would see only a brief burst of water through the pods. I would have had to send it into the manufacturer, which seemed quite the pain. In short, I am back to my extremely trustworthy Chemex.

Overall good machine with fast brewing

I wonder why it has to be selled some item incomplete. The item was an "open box" and that it can justify the reduced price but cannot justify the missing part. When I saw the state of the item, I left it there.

When he called the company he was told that they no longer work with that manufacturer, Breville. They sent him a new machine made by a different company for Nespresso
