We love our Nespresso Vertuo Next machine from Breville. We tried making expresso the old-fashioned way by grinding the coffee, tamping the grinds in the portafilter, and brewing in an expresso machine. My wife and I quickly learned and enjoyed the process, but we found it soon became a chore cleaning up the mess after enjoying the coffee. It took the fun out of making an expresso drink. This is by far so much quicker and simpler and there is virtually no mess to clean up afterward. While the pods are more expensive than grinding coffee, it's still much cheaper than buying coffee at a coffee shop, not to mention the cost of gas to go there. The frother is also so simple to operate and we froth the milk while brewing the expresso, so they come together at about the same time. The frother is super easy to clean and dry by simply rinsing and drying with a kitchen towel. We were confused at first in how to use the frother as the instructions were a little cryptic. There is an insert that goes in the frother that has a removeable coil. If you like a lot of froth, keep the coil on the insert that spins...otherwise remove the coil and the milk will have less froth, which is how I prefer it. We just pour the frothed milk into the expresso cup and have a perfect coffee drink ready in a matter of seconds. It's also fun to try different coffees without having to buy bags of beans that go quickly go stale. For just the two of us, this is the perfect solution. We order the coffee from nespresso.com and recycle the used aluminum capsules using their free returnable recycle bag. We haven't found the vertuo pods yet at the wholesale club stores, but that will probably help to bring the price down if and when that happens. This machine makes coffee drinks ranging from a few ounces of expresso to a carafe, depending on the pods you choose. The machine is able to determine that from codes printed on the pod. You just need to know what size of cup to use and make sure the container in the back has enough water. It's that simple.

This unit has been a delight to have. First of all, most appliances come with time-consuming complicated and waste of precious time just to get through the instructions while this unit was a breeze. It was the easiest. I immediately had the best cup of espresso ever.... certainly better than I have gotten from a coffee/espresso shop.

Excellent coffee! So easy and fast! Great value! Only thing we would change is that the water tank must half full or higher, for the product to work, so it must be refilled a bit more than it should. We have used both the nespresso pods and the Starbucks pods and they are both great. Just be sure to order the "vertuo" cups!

This was my daughter's house warming present. We went to visit and my sister-in-law and I LOVED this little machine. Coffee come great, the frother is amazing...we all eneded up acquiring our own. Neat design, compact and easy to use. It wasn't cheap, but I believe it's worth every penny.

Exactly what we needed and great coffee. Only downside is that the plastic clips designed to automatically remove the used pods never works; however, this does not affect main functionality.

LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I have been looking at this purchase for awhile. I finally decided to give in and gift myself. I could not believe how amazing the coffee is. Highly recommend. It is small, compact, doesnt take up much space and so easy to use. The milk frother is the only one I have purchased thru the years that actually works like it is supposed to and it is so so easy.

Truly love this, super easy to use and clean. Coffee is to my liking - Pods are more expensive than expected but for quality coffee, that's fine for me. Still cheaper than a trip to starbucks.

Decent coffee maker, but a bit on the pricey side. Things we like include size (smaller than our current Keurig), speed to make cup of coffee, quality of brewed coffee, and the included frother device.
What we don't like: Water tank on back fixed in place and as such it makes the unit have quite a bit of depth so sticks out on countertop more than I expected. Set-up instructions included in the box are poor...you have to use the Force (for star wars fans). Plan to watch some YouTube videos. DO NOT try to use the Nespresso Original coffee pods...it will make a huge mess in the unit (Yes we speak from experience). Be sure to read the fine print when you buy pods that they are for use with Nespresso Next. I suggest using the ones included with this set as a test run.
Biggest drawback is the amount of crema/froth on the black coffee coming out of the machine is not at all what is in the pictures...we get barely any crema on our coffee so be prepared.
Overall...decent machine...3 stars.

Ok if your use to a Keurig you will find this is a nice addition to your coffee cart. Very easy to use and the coffee is very smooth and strong. The extra frother is amazing.

Working from home meant more boring K-Cups and fewer trips to our favorite Seattle coffee chain. It’s definitely been easier on the pocketbook but I miss my fancy drinks!
I had tried espresso makers in the past with the whole steamed milk attachments and I ended up throwing it out because it was too much work! I gave the Nespresso a shot because it looked easy!
The pods are every bit as easy as k-cups and the frothed milk in the aerocinno3 makes adding hot milk a breeze!
Only complaint is that the vertuo size is new so pods are a little pricey with no 3rd party alternatives.

Breville does it again. This madhine is very convenient. Quick and easy set up. Quick and easy coffee. I only have had the machine for a short time but so far no complaints and no issues. I have noticed this machine uses a lot of water so I always make sute the tank is full. The frother is also a nice addition. Also very easy to use. Overall I would rate this machome a 10/10 and i would also recommend this to friends. If you’re scrolling the reviews like we all do if the machine is not damaged its a good pick!

Makes a great cup of coffee with no mess, little work. I'm not a coffee person so having coffee pots & ground coffee on hand for the rare case when someone wants one is a hassle. Having this around gives me a chance to make a really good cup of coffee, in a one-cup-at-a-time fashion without me worrying about extra supplies around or having to think about whether I'm doing it right. Every time I've used it, people have been happy with the results.

Kind of a fun product. Possibly a little more complicated than needed for just a cup of coffee but brews a good cup. A little on the loud side but overall I’m enjoying it.

This is our first Nespresso machine, and we absolutely love it! The range of espresso and coffee types and sizes lets us get a lot of use out of the machine. We're also lucky to have a Nespresso store near us in Indianapolis, which makes it easy to pick up new capsules. And for more convenience, our local Meijer and Target stores now carry the Starbucks Vertuo capsules.
The simplicity of the Vertuo Next machine -- and the included milk frother -- is amazing. It is so much easier to use than our old, traditional Gaggia machine, and frankly, the espresso tastes just as good.
We use the Nespresso daily for an afternoon espresso or a decaf cappuccino or latte after dinner. I will confess that we still make drip-brewed coffee each morning, mainly because our Cuisinart machine has a timer and makes very good coffee. The Nespresso is a small luxury during these crazy times, especially since we're spending so much time at home.

I finally took the plunge and got a Nespresso. I am so glad I did. It makes great coffee and espressos for me each morning. It's expensive up front but I have virtually stopped spending money on coffee shops now. And refill orders are actually pretty affordable! Each pod goes between $0.70 - $1.14 per pod, which is so much cheaper then the $3-$6 I would spend per drink at Starbucks or a local place. Coffee lovers who don't want to put all the effort in: get this thing.

Love my new Nespresso this is my 2nd one the first one I purchased was the older model 5years ago and it lasted the entire time and never did a balance or cleaned it and it made perfect coffee everytime. Now that I know I need to scale it it can probably get 5 or more years out of this one! Great high end quality coffee the only coffee I will drink if it’s not coming straight from a coffee cafe.
