But this machine makes the WORST coffee we’ve ever had. The voluminous crema gives off a chemical fume/stench that makes you gag. The coffee is extremely acidic. We tried 8 different sizes and types of coffee pods. Some multiple times, as I purchased capsules aside from the sample that came with the machine. They were all just horrible. We are returning this machine and replacing the Nespresso Citiz Milk machine that we have loved for years with another Citiz. Other issues besides taste … You cannot add water, using the machine, to make an Americano with an espresso pod. Sure, you can hold down the button to override the programming to put more water in the cup. But guess what? The extra water runs thru the spent coffee grounds in the used pod. Not. Or, you can eject the pod and go into the cleaning cycle to add water. So the left over coffee grounds rinse into your cup. Not. Or - you can make a Fortado Gran Lungo, which produces something similar to a double espresso Americano with water … but tastes awful. No really good way to reproduce an Americano using just the machine… Better to just use the microwave or InstaHot to put some hot water in your cup before brewing that pod…

Two machines within 30 days until I requested a different model from Nespresso which replaced it with the Evoluo. I would recommend to avoid this specific model. No issues with the Evoluo model

Things were not packed well and the coffee pods expired April 2022.

The coffee is so delicious than I put my Kering coffee maker on the side and only use my new Nespresso Vertuo Next. The coffee pods are maybe more expensive but so tasty. The documentation coming with the is not enough explicative so I have gone to YouTube for more informations. Good coffee maker, great coffee mug every morning.
