However once i set the add on wifi point it amazed me! Theres a speaker embedded in the unit that connects to wifi, and if you have more thN one you can communicate via google assistant to other units within the house. The connection overall is fluid and fast. We had areas with slower thsn normal wifi signal but that has been alleviated! Love this mesh network!

Drops wifi at least a few times a day. Very annoying. Good when it works as its supposed to.

Each Nest Wifi point can cover up to an estimated coverage of 1600 sq ft. Here are some recommended steps you can try out:
- In general, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. Also, having a clear line of sight gives the network better coverage.
- It’ll be easier to strategically place them in a way that avoids obstructions, like heavy furniture and walls made of thick concrete or brick for a better signal.
- Line of sight: Points perform better when they can find each other. Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
- Placement: Place the devices somewhere off the ground, such as on a shelf, can greatly improve coverage.
- Consider the overall mesh network: Points depend on each other to provide great coverage in your home. In order to fix a particular weak point, you may need to move a different Wifi point in order to fix it.

Buy Asus AX and you'll not go wrong. I've owned Google 1st and 2nd Generation Home Wifi and now Nest Wifi, and because I have 70 plus devices at home and rely on workhorse router, the Google Nest Wifi kept needing to be reset over and over again, once/twice a day. It got annoying. So, I replaced it with Asus XT8 Zen AX6600 router and never looked back.

Your Nest Wifi should be able to handle the 70 devices at home but requires sufficient broadband internet connection and connected devices must be located within Wi-Fi coverage area. With my original Google three unit nest, Wi-Fi extended about 1/3 more.

My only complaints are that this model does not have a ethernet port as the previous model did and you can barely see the setup code on the bottom.
