Why did we buy this product?

We know that our first Netgear 16-Port 10/100/1000 has been doing great for more than ten years. So now, we have set up another network with an identical unmanaged switch, and yes, the new one is doing great also.

Rock solid gigabit network switch

It was on sale, included free delivery, and is a rock solid network switch. I swapped out an 8-port Netgear switch for this one since the old one had run out of ports.

My prior switch was smaller so I could not use all ports. I was going to purchase a 16 port switch a couple of years ago, but the size was too large to fit into my master control box. This unit fits well and works great and was simple to install.
