Replace all your old switches when you upgrade your WiFi! A lot of people miss the opportunity to gain all their speed when these are hiding in the attic.

I bought this to facilitate some LAN parties I host where we play old RTS games. Having everyone on a physical link instead of wireless has made ALL the difference. It's super easy to plug and go.

Replaced an existing device that was 8 years old and it worked fine. In troubleshooting, I found out that this device has a lifetime guarantee - so I contacted NETGEAR and was sent a replacement device - so now I have a spare.

I researched options to expand my ether net capability, while solving conflict errors between comcast WiFi and home WiFi and this was the solution. It works so well I now use it in my home and in my business.
