It's a switch. It does what it's supposed to do. It was easy to set up, and so far seems to be working flawlessly. I've got two of them rack mounted. They are quiet and run cool.

Ran out of ports on a smaller netgear switch and decided on this one. Works fine out of the box, plug in and go. Since it's smart managed, you can connect to it directly or through the netgear ProSafe Plus utility to manage basic features on you network. Ports, speed, QoS, VLAN, etc. No fan so it's quiet, and solid metal construction. Also comes with some basic mounting hardware if needed. Netgear switches have never let me down.

Netgear makes a solid switch. These managed switches are no exception. They work, and work nonstop, like a work horse. If you are on the fence about this, dont be, just get it.

I have several Netgear switches of this series and they work great. I use them with VLANs (port-based), but I also use one link to interconnect them in a sort of trunking and they just do the job. Configuration is actually quite easy with the web interface.

This nether 24 port gb switch was the best thing I could have bought for my office. I talked to AT&T tech and he recommended that I get one of these. He gave me a small one with 6 ports but I needed a whole lot of ports. It's plug and play. Never had an issue ever. great product and netgear products are always great.

For a managed switch, it is surprisingly easy to use. Its form and fit were perfect for stacking on top of my previous 24 port unmanaged switch, also a Netgear JGS, which has performed flawlessly for several years.

Allows me to control bandwidth and access directly to the networked device. My Xbox consumes all my bandwidth even QOS is on at the Router. Now i can control max bandwidth for the xbox directly. Easy setup and update. Has its own IP so you can connect directly and manage. Just need to keep track of which ports are used.
