After renting a modem from my cable company for years it was time to upgrade to a new modem that I own. The NetGear is fast and reliable and works perfectly with my cable company connection.

I’ve had this for around a year. It has worked flawlessly. I have no complaints other than it gets a little warm, so make sure it’s well ventilated.

This item was very easy to install and hooked up to my devices instantly. I paired it with a Netgear Nighthawk Wireless router and it is very fast..

After reading the reviews for this particular modem I decided to buy it. I'm not a technical guy but the set up was simple (literally take it out of the box and follow the simple instructions). So far I haven't had any issues with the connectivity, speed or performance and it's been over a month since I purchased the item.

The CM600 works as advertised. I use it on COX cable and consistently get 300 Mb/s down and 30 Mb/s up. 24 bonded channels down and 4 bonded up even though it will handle more. This is a very reliable cable modem. There is no wifi in this modem.

We have been using this modem for several months now and have had no issues. Set up was quick and easy, we did it ourselves and we are far from computer experts. We have consistant, fast Internet. It works well with our net gear router.

Dropped my Cox phone landline and since I had a dual phone/internet modem, I had to replace it with just an internet modem or Cox would charge me monthly for the modem rental. So I decided to buy my own modem. Price very comparable to what Cox would have me pay if I bought through them. Also this modem can handle much faster internet speed, if I choose to upgrade. It does have to be registered with Cox or it won't work. Cox doesn't tell you this nor does the modem instructions. Don't waste time trying to install it without calling Cox first. Works well, no problems, installation fast and simple; if you call Cox first!!

    Major Upgrade

I bought this to replace a cheaper Netgear modem/router combo. I needed a modem/router with 24x8 channel bonding capabilities. I recently upgraded to an extreme 300 plan with Xfinity. I needed the equipment to match the speed and the capabilities to also block as much interference and process a high speed during peak hours. I highly recommend this product to anyone who would needs heavy equipment for their apt/condo/house. When I'm close to router I get speeds up to 300 and the farthest distance in my condo I get speeds as high as 185. Wired my PS4 pulls in a little over 300 but I doubt it's that consistence. I can testify that there's little to no buffering while watching Netflix, Hulu, Amazon video. And a great picture as well while streaming PSVue.

I always purchsed my own modems, never rent, and I always do my research before buying a new one. The NetGear CM600 gets great reviews. It's larger than the 5 year old Motorola Surfboard modem I'm replacing, but light and very stable on its stand. It runs a little hot at the top, but has plenty of ventilation holes. The LED lights are not too large or bright in a dark room, but bright enough to read. It has all the speed that I need for now and into the future for the same price (on sale) as a lower model, and I'm getting slightly higher speeds than the Cox plan I'm paying for advertises. I've had it for several weeks now and have experienced no signal drops. If it lasts as long as my last Motorola Surfboard did, I'll be happy.

The ideal modem for any high speed internet subscriber. I have comcast upper tier speed, have two wireless routers connected to it in a two floor house. Perfect modem, fast install, and reliable.

Netgear makes quality products. I have used numerous devices & had excellent results. This modem produces speeds faster than paid package thru ISP. Nice design, does not get as hot as a Arris modem.

I bought this because my old sb6141 was failing. The setup was simple, and the speeds were faster than the 100mbps plan that I pay for. I've had no issues with it in the month of ownership.

Purchased this modem so I could stop renting the Comcast modem that came with my cable subscription. Very easy to use/set-up, but still needed to call Comcast to have them officially register the modem. Cable worked before calling them, but after the call, my internet speeds were at maximum over Ethernet and wireless (with the appropriate wifi router, of course). I have already recommended this modem to others in the market for one. Great piece of equipment here.
