great router

Great router that supports high speed. Very easy to set up. Speeds can vary but that depends on your router. The modem can bring in a lot, but your router limits the amount of bandwidth that is brought in by the modem. If you connect via Ethernet, the wire and adapter may only be a 10/100 - therefore limiting you to 100mb. Wireless is the key, but try to get electronics that support ac wireless internet. I upgraded everything, then I saw results. The results are much better than the standard 50 from the cable company. Be sure to upgrade your speed with them too. No sense buy a faucet that can feed 50 gallons per minute if the water from the street only streams at 25.

The price point for this high-speed modem was exactly what I was looking for, while giving me the performance I need. At just slightly under 1gig down, it moves flawlessly with my Comcast internet with no disconnects or trouble.
I went with this modem because it wasn't the combo modem/router. I already have a NETGEAR AC 1750 and just wanted a modem solely for speed. Easy to hook-up, and I was online within minutes. I returned the rental modem back to Comcast, and am now saving $120 per year on modem rental costs. It's a no-brainer. If you're looking to upgrade and save yourself some money in the long run, this is an easy choice.

Better for Standard service than the Arris modem from 2004 that they refused to change out. Got rid of the TWC modem they charged $10 a month for, now I pay BB $10 a month for the next year, own the modem and get better download rates. I was lucky to see 5Mb/s now I frequently get the full 20Mb/s, averaging about 14Mb/s. I am also ready for a speed upgrade if I want.

I purchased this modem to replace a 7 year old Surfboard Modem/Router combo. My home internet has now doubled in download speed. I combined this purchase with a Netgear Nighthawk R8000. I don't know why I didn't upgrade sooner! Highly recommend.

Purchased the Netgear CM600 modem because I switched to Timewarner Cable, Technician from TWC connected modem as part of cable installation (quick set up). Modem is good performing, very please with purchase and product. I would recommend product to anyone. If you decide to buy your own modem, like this recommend Netgear CM600 versus TWC modem. Beware you will need a router too, (like the Netgear AC1750) if you want WIFI for devices. Because once you deciline their modem, TWC also remove the WIFI feature from the box and it become strictly a phone gate way.

I have been through 3 modems in 3 months - apparently ARRIS is not quality like Motorola used to be, as their modems kept having problems with my Comcast connection (T3 - T4 time outs). I have had a few with this modem but not the hundreds I was getting with Arris modems. The speeds are great and it appears to take advantage of my full comcast speed (70-80 Mbps). It gets a little warm so I would recommend putting it in an open space. DISCLAIMER: it's only been a month. I can't guarantee things won't go South later.

No complaints. Just does its job.
I'm old school and use a separate cable modem and router. I do this for a few reasons:
- no modem rental fee (this would also be true with a combo unit)
- can upgrade router independently
- you're not being used as an Xfinity hotspot
- sometimes klunky firmware interface
- cable company has control of firmware updates on cable modem, not on my router
- some routers permit you to jack in your cell phone as WAN source for use as a backup when internet is down
Any time I have had a performance issue or outage, it is with either the provider, or poor cable connections / splitters within the house. This message went away after last visit "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire FEC framing". Was corrected by tech by replacing coax splitter. Do not use Sat TV splitters for cable internet.
** Always check your internet provider compatibility list prior to purchasing 'customer owned equipment', otherwise, you may be in a situation where Comcast is unwilling to support you without sending a tech to your house with one of their modems and a service fee.
There is no 'configuration', but if you wish to look at status / settings or reboot the modem without getting up, there is an admin page at http://192.168.100.1/.
Couldn't beat the price at the time, and did not have to wait for shipping. They price matched 'a major online retailer'. Great deal.

No issues on TimeWarner Cable, keep in mind that although this modem supports 24 channels, TimeWarner only currently operates on 16

I got this because I was having all kinds of issues with my ring doorbell and connectivity in general with my Motorola mg7550 modem/router combo. It had strong signal but issues maintaining connections. I swapped this in which also gained me 8 more channels with my Xfinity service. Everything is working great now and this modem is slightly faster than the Motorola. Bonus is that it always is stable, rock solid. Highly recommended!

This was an excellent purchase. The router is flawless so far. Once I got it setup, it was a breeze, had to call Comcast to conduct a provision, but once that was done. It work with the netgear ac1750 router. Saw a much better increase in my bandwitch, compare to what comcast equipment; which cap my speed; where I had paid for more than what the equipment allowed me.

I was using this Modem for about a 3 Month's it worked great. I was using the Arris SB6190, but the Intel chipset used in it had bad packet loss. This works great speeds of aleast for 350mbps. I am currently not using this modem, because I have Gigabit Internet which use DOCSIS 3.1 which this is 3.0. You cannot use this if you have the Phone Service from Comcast or the Gigabite type Internet speeds. If you buy this get the Geek Squad plan, Net Phone Support is bad.

This modem is great. Works well with Comcast and was easy to install and pair with Comcast signal. Gives you a better signal then the one Comcast provides and doesn't break the bank.

Great modem for speed tiers 500mbps and below. I bought this modem thinking it would work with Spectrum’s Gig service, but unfortunately it doesn’t. And that’s okay. If you are using this for anything other than gigabit connections, this modem will treat you right and be more cost effective and work better than the cable company rental.
I used it for about four months and didn’t have to reboot it once.

I decided to buy this modem after Comcast informed me they were no longer supporting the modem I had been using for the past 2 years. This modem was a bit pricier than what I would usually spend on one, but it is also gives much better performance than I have ever had. I subscribe to the Blast! service and this modem does a great job utilizing the higher speed.

I bought the NETGEAR CM600 modem when I changed my Comcast/Xfinity service to a faster Internet speed. It is easy to setup, connects quickly, and if the power is ever interrupted, it comes back up quickly. I paired it with a Netgear R7300DST-100NAS wireless Gigabit router. The combo works flawlessly.
NOTE: I have cable tv and Internet only. The product description states that this modem does not work with plans that include voice (phone) service.

Easy installation tho I did need to contact their customer service dept. to assist as Comcast failed on their end of the upgrade. The Netgear rep was outstanding & got both modem and router reset to properly recognize each other & the Comcast signal. Have NOT seen any improvement to Comcast speed despite their years of hounding me to upgrade my very old modem. Good modem, just appears to not have done any good for me and my situation, thanks to lame Comcast.
