    Best All Around Cable Modem

So I did a lot of research when picking a cable modem and I decided on this one because it has 24 downstream channels to support up to 300 mbps+ download speeds but more importantly it has 8 upstream channels to make sure you are getting the upload speeds you pay for. Modem works well and can be connected to any router. I plan on buying another one of these for my parents.

I buy cable modems every three routers. At least it seems like I do. They arent quite as bad as routers for obsolescence but they are alike in the area of one upmanship. If one company does 8 channels, another will do 16. This modem works as advertised. Would I know if it didn't? Maybe not in terms of pure advertised speed but I have noticed the most important thing for me. The primary reason I bought the modem was to eliminate router freezes when more than 2 people were streaming videos in the house. Now the only thing left to critique is the lifespan of my new Netgear modem. The last one only made it through one year before failing. Hopefully this one will last the way other Netgear products do.

Modem works just as fast as promised. No questions about it, I would definitely recommend. Cox on the other hand, isn't as reliable.

    Straighforward replacement for Comcast modem

After saying "I've got to stop paying that $10 monthly fee to Comcast" for the privilege of using their modem, I finally decided to take the plunge. This modem is rated to support my Blast! speeds with room for future-proofing. I certainly haven't noticed any slowdown vs. the Comcast-supplied modem with it in place. It won't support Comcast voice, but Ooma is working just fine for me as far as having a "land line" goes. Set up was pretty straightforward and just involved connecting everything (new modem, existing wi-fi router) and then registering the modem with Comcast online. Registering required connecting my PC to the modem with an ethernet cable and took a few tries before the connection went through. But once it did everything went smoothly. Since I was using my own wi-fi router plugged in to the old Comcast modem, all the devices connected to the router were fine without any changes once the new modem was up and running.

I had a new 6190 from arris and it was terrible. I found out it was using intel pooka 4 chip and latency was a big problem. They have no full fix for it yet. I went with this one because it still used the Broadcom chip. Thank god! I have excellent speed and no problems. I have more faith in Broadcom than the intel chip. Very smooth setup.

My old modem needed to be replaced. So I went to Best Buy, my favorite store, and picked up this nem Netgear DOC-SIS CM-600 dual band cable modem to use on my Comcast broadband system. It is very fast and solid, pluse setting it up is a no brainer. Also, no more modem rental charge, so It paid for itself in a few short months.

The modem works great for Comcast's 150Mbps service. I had issues getting everything working and linked with my account properly, but once Comcast figured out the issue was on their end it worked great! The original Comcast all-in-one was garbage, but pair this with Google Wifi and you won't have any complaints, highly recommended.

My old modem went out - service was spotty and intermittent. I read all the reviews and I saw this one on sale. I plugged it in, and it instantly worked. Zero issues. It made my internet faster and solved my intermittent issues. Would I buy this again? Yes, it's fast and reliable.

The old modem finally bit the dust so we picked up this new one and couldn't be happier. Installation was a breeze and it is smooth and fast running on the internet again! (You will need to contact you service provider for the modem to work since they need to update the mac id for it to communicate on their system.)

I bought this cable modem because of it's throughput rating. I am not disappointed. It was relatively easy to set up as well. They provide the telephone numbers for the various ISPs, all you need to do is call them and tell them that you want to set up a new modem. This modem will pay for itself in less than a year.

This the second CM600 I have bought and installed. One for my daughter's apartment a year ago and now one for my son's college apartment. They are easy to setup, work great, and best of all the CM600 does not use the flawed Intel Puma chipset (like the Netgear CM700 and many others).

I recently dropped cable so instead of paying them $11 a month for renting a modem, I thought I would buy my own. After researching, I settled on this model. It works great. I am consistently over the 250 mb/s of my internet plan. It's also has a small footprint and is very unobtrusive.

    Great modem for TWC

I just got this modem for TWC and it is doing a great job. It has solid speeds and works better than the one that they give (parents also have TWC with the provided modem/router). Granted you have to have your own router, but that's kind of the point for getting a modem rather than a combo router+modem.
