Bought this when I upgraded my cable internet. Worked ok for a couple of months and then just started dropping the WiFi connected devices? Had cable company check all outside connections and kept happening. Reading online reviews I was not the only one. Don’t waste your money

I don't doubt that Netgear makes good products but this cable modem wasn't good for me. Customer service was slow and meh. Bought an Arris SB 6190 instead and haven't experienced the seemingly constant drops in service like the Netgear modem plus the customer service was much better.

I tried putting this in multiple places right next to the modem my provider installed but it could not even connect. If I hadn’t thrown my box away I would definitely returned it. Do not waste your money. Look into Orbi instead.

Unfortunately, this product was not able to get me any higher than 70 mbps even within very close range. I am supposed to get 150 with Comcast Xfinity. Very frustrating experience, as it is supposed to be capable of much faster speeds.

For the past three months I have been dealing with connection failing intermittently . I have been contact with TWC and NetGear and it has not bee resolved. If TWC is ISP I would not get this product.

Despite what it says on the box, Cox Communications does not allow this Modem. Purchased during a home remodel, so only tried to hook it up today.

I received this product for free through the NETGEAR Friends & Family testing/review program. I recently made the switch from ATT to Comcast, so I needed a modem just in time to receive this test unit. The setup was incredibly easy: Connect the cable, power on, and connect the router. I did have to power cycle the modem and router to get everything to recognize each other, but I am now getting 85 Mbps during peak hours with Comcast's 75 Mbps max service. I haven't experienced any drops or poor connections for about the 1.5 weeks with the modem/Comcast.

This was supposed to work with Time Warner Cable, so we bought it to keep from paying rent on one of theirs. But it won't work with their equipment.

Optimum Customers - Stop Renting your Modem

I have been a long time Optimum customer and been paying the $10 per month rental fee for my modem. I often feel that the modem they provided doesn't give me the speed that I pay for. I have the 400mps plan. I bought this modem from Bestbuy and the shipping was fast. Also, setup was a breeze. I was able to set up the modem in 10 minutes and didn't even need to call Customer Service for help. It also works great with my Linksys Velop mesh system. Great price as the modem will pay for itself in savings off my internet bill.

I was looking for a non-wireless modem to reduce my monthly payment and minimize possible hack of my WiFi signal. This one, for the price, was an excellent choice. The internet speed is stableand both the upload and download rate is excellent.

    As good as Motorola

The unit functions as advertised. What bothers me is the warranty -- only 3 months before you have to pay for support. I am disappointed with NetGear. I wish they would extend free support to at least one year or, like other companies, unlimited support by email.

Great modem for my speed tier

I previously had the Arias SB6141 but comcast xfinity put it on the EOL (end of life) list and started having major speed issues and comcast was not willing to help. Switched to this modem and I have the 75Mbps blast tier and I get 16 channels for downstream with this modem! I get consistent 90Mbps download. Great modem!
