BEATS RENTING FROM XFINITY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to go "all in" by buying my own router and modem instead of renting from Comcast and using their unreliable combo modem/routers. This is fast and compatible. Worth it. Make sure you call and get it registered with Comcast.

Replaced my old motorola!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an old motorola router/modem combo I bought to replace TWC now Spectrum so that I didn't pay fees. But overtime it wasn't working as it used to so it was time to upgrade and man this one is pretty good. Speed does slow down at times but still beats my old modem.

I'm returning it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My N600 Model c3700 is terrible. I pay for 100mbs and only was getting 17-40 mbs with this.It goes out often so that I must unplug it twice a week just to get these slow speeds. I even added the 1200 model extender to increase the poor range. This extender also bottled neck just as bad. I had thought that COX internet was the issue. Cox is not the problem, the netgear products are. 2 years of this was enough! I spent over $400 to upgrade to new netgear products and then was getting 80-160mbs. So the problem was the netgear products I used before. Within the first week of my new $480 netgear setup, I had more issues do to the modem CM600. I am happy with the nighthawk 6x router but will change out the cm600 modem for an Arris surfboard.

Perfect to save yourself a rental fee
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I moved to an area that didn't offer Fiber service, I was bummed. Having experience with both DSL and cable, I opted for cable/internet and decided to purchase my own modem to avoid a $10 per month rental fee. I bought it on sale for $89 and it's the best decision I've made. If you're only provider is Suddenlink, this works perfectly. I'm reaching speeds of 380Mbps out of a 400 package and honestly, it's perfect for me. It looks great next to my Nighthawk router so I don't have to hide either one.

Fast and reliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had this modem for a few days, but it meets Xfinity standards, it was easy to install, and I haven't lost connection, so it's A-OK in my book.

Wouldn't work with Time Warner Cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initial setup was great. Hooked up, called TWC and worked with ethernet to my computer. Connected hub and computer still worked. NOTHING else would work. I have 2 wireless routers, 2 Roku players and Xbox1 that all worked with the Ubee modem provided by TWC. Call Netgear and all I got was "the computer works, so it work." Really! When I said a home network with 1 ethernet cable doesn't work he kept repeating the above and asked if I had any other questions and said goodby. By the way, even connecting a Roku by ethernet to the CM600 wouldn't work. Called back TWC and the person spent over 30 min attempting to work with me to get things in order - no success. I took it back. Got an Arris SBG6900 (Bestbuy took back easily). Within 10 minutes of hooking up and activating, ALL my devices worked as they should! Maybe the difference is the built-in router, but it works well. Again the TWC person stayed on the line until I had all devices hooked and working. Based on this, I wouldn't buy for TWC and won't buy another Netgear product. My hub is TPlink, have a Linksys router and a D-Link router are part of my network.

Great range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a two story house and the modem is set up in the upstairs bedroom on one side of the house. I can get two or three bars on WiFi with my phone on the other side of the house, downstairs and outside.

It Works BUT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sometimes it passes 1 Gbps and sometimes 37 Gbps. It doesn't seem fully compatible with Time Warner Cable service. For the first week, I thought the problem was with my TWC service or installation. But, after a tech came out and rewired my house, I still had speed problems. I've found that when the modem runs slowly, if I shut it off and unplug it for a few seconds and then turn it back on it seems to go to the full 37 Mbps speed. Apparently, TWC hasn't tested the modems on their recommended list for compatibility with their Internet service.

A bit flaky.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem seems excellent with all of its high end specs. However, I have had problems getting it to be stable even with excellent signal strength. I was constantly having to reset it and the router. My ISP was/is repeatedly having to re provision it and reenter its MAC address in the system. I replaced my router with a Netgear router and that has help stabilize it, but is still regularly disconnects from the ISP. YMMV

Never worked, no answer from customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this today and it would not work with my existing Netgear Nighthawk router so I made the mistake of calling Netgear customer service. 1.5 hours later (I saved a screenshot), I gave up as they still had not answered. On the plus side, that did give me time to cook a few meals for the rest of the week. When my call began, there were 8 people in queue according to the automated voice on the other end. I assume they will still be waiting for help whenever you read this review. I will never know if this product was any good as a modem, nor will I ever care. I highly recommend purchasing from any other company. I am returning this product in the morning.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this modem was bad when i got it connected i was only getting 30mbps when i set it up while my old one again and was getting 150+ i had to contact comcast about this and when i switch back to the cm600 again to for them to fix it somehow i could not connect at all anymore comcast sent signal to my place and i could not access the internet and everything was in place too. i told the them to change it back to my old sb6121 and i was getting my old speed of 150+ and able to use the internet right when i switch back so i dont know if i got a defective modem, it cant be my end or comcast because my old modem worked right away when plugged back in.

DO NOT BUY - FIRMWARE CANNOT BE UPDATED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Netgear website says that the firmware can ONLY be updated by your ISP. You cannot update the firmware manually. So, after Time Warner Cable updates their operations then YOUR equipment will be outdated and subject to malfunction. I went to TWO local Time Warner Cable offices and neither could update the firmware on my CM600 modem. Each office gave me a technical support number and NEITHER of those numbers could update the firmware on my modem. They kept passing the buck back to Netgear saying that THEY have to update the firmware. So, if you want to be subject to dropouts and other malfunctions after a couple months of use, get the CM600.
