I had a bad experience with an Arris modem because it didn’t had a number to connect to my provider. I was worried purchasing this modem but once I open it. It had instructions to install it. I didn’t have to call optimum. I connected the device. Then went to the website on the guide from my cell phone and swap the modem number myself. Once that was done that is all it took. Really happy with my purchase.

I upgraded my internet speed to 300Mbps. This is one of the modems that is certified by my ISP (CableOne), with good online reviews and also affordable. Installation pretty easy, called my ISP, gave him the MAC address and was set up in no time. Have used it for 6 months now. Never had the need to reboot even once. Internet signal stable and reaching the speeds I paid for with my ISP.

Supported by Xfinity, worked well out of the box. Speeds are good for what I had provisioned at the site, up to snuff. This is the second one of these I have installed (one at my own home) as i have switched from the Moto* and Arr* ones to these of late as the price has been better and so far performance has been on par.

I could only rate this thing as excellent. This modem replaced a aging cisco rental modem (8 upstream 4 downstream) that was included with my internet 5 years ago. Speedtest showed almost double what im paying for at the start of the test (about 330) then levels off to around 190 down (im paying for 150) and about 20 up (should only be getting about 10) and the only thing i changed was the modem. My network is run through a nighthawk 1900ac router (gaming pc and editing pc on ports 1 and 2) then into 2 8 port switches 1 switch has 6 miners running full time on it the other is for all my consoles. All wiring is cat6e. Dont get me wrong the cisco modem i had is probably more than enough for most peoples needs. but the modem seemed to be dying and having random drops and connection issues after about 5 years of hard use so i decided for the price it was worth the upgrade. Some of the best money i ever spent on infrastructure.

I recently changed my internet provider, and installed my own equipment. This is VERY easy to install and works seamlessly with the Orbi AC2200 2 pack. So happy with performance! Do not hesitate to get this. Also purchased the Best Buy extended warranty - I am all set!

I have had this modem for about three weeks now. I am using Spectrum Cable Internet and it has been very reliable. I had no issues getting this model added to my Spectrum account and I am getting the download speeds that I am supposed to be getting, which in my case is 400 mbps downstream

I bought this to save money on rental and get my money worth on my internet service specially this one is 32x8 vs 16x4 with Optimum modem. Works great and compatible with Optimum. I'm getting 344 on my test speed on my 300 internet plan hardwired can't complain. Also works great with my Linksys router.

Bumped my internet speed from 100 to 300 mbps. My old modem, while reliable, had a max speed below 300. Decided to buy this modem as it was listed as being compatible with Spectrum. Hooked up the router and had the new modem activated. Speed tests are above 300 and router works great with this modem! Very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!

We needed to purchase a new cable modem to install a wireless WiFi. the Netgear was reasonably priced and had great reviews online. We found it was very simple to install. It's worked great in our home.

This modem is a great modem, i purchased it in case i wanted to upgrade my internet to 500 mbps. My overall internet speed is at 225 mbps and my plan is 200 mbps. I have not had any issues with it at all and ive had it for a month already. Would definitely recommend. Oh amd one more thing, the setup this device was insanely easy.

A necessity if you are looking to run an internet speed 300 Mbps. I saw several different options and did extensive research on all models. I couldn’t be happier with the results this modem puts out. I eventually upgraded to the CM1000 to run a higher internet speed for up to 1000 Mbps. Depending on your needs Netgear is a solid choice.

The unit worked as advertised. Easy set up and small footprint.

This modem combined with Netgear's Nighthawk Routers are very good combination. I noticed a speed increase ever since I purchased a separate modem and router. It also eliminated the lag issues and signal drop which resulted to better gaming experience.

Its small, greatly priced and works great. Highly recommend.

This is really great for the price range and I have bought some really expensive ones that has left a sour taste in my mouth due to unstable performance, but this has been solid as a rock from day one. Two huge thumbs up for this.

Purchased this CM700 32X8 DOCSIS 3.0 modem to replace a 1 year old Arris Surfboard 32X8 DOCSIS 3.0 Modem. The Arris had failed within 1 month of purchase - which Arris replaced with (seemed like) a refurbished unit. 9 months later - still under warranty - Arris refused to replace because it was the same problem(?)!. Replaced with the Netgear cm700. Quick easy setup. Speed seems quicker. Netgear has the app to control both modem & Nighthawk router. Had 1 question & Netgear support answered quickly. Have always had good experiences with Netgear products. Only bought the Arris as it was recommended by a friend as 'better bang for the buck'. Never again. This modem paired with the Nighthawk router gives great wifi coverage throughout the 2 story home - no dead spots.

This has proven to be a reliable, capable and long-living cable modem with several years of use it’s not showing any signs of slowing down or any issues.

I upgraded from a Motorola SB6141 that was no longer supported by Comcast to this Netgear modem. No more freeze ups and the need to power cycle my modem. This Netgear modem works great with my new Netgear R7000 wifi router also.

Solid and easy to install. I compared Arris and this is much more faster. Boot up 30secsbwith no lags. Arris took 90 secs and showed lags when browsing web. Bestbuy cost more but will honor competitor price. But why not just lower it I’m the first place??? Cost you may trade in old router for 15% off. Best Buy make this marketing game.
