    Excellent 5 port gigabit switch!

I have an existing 8 port gigabit switch in my living room with all my devices connected with one open port left. However, I needed another connection for a recently added new device in my computer room. The 4 gigabit ports on my nice netgear router were all occupied. I removed two devices from the router and connected to the new switch and, of course, one wire running from the router to the switch for data transfer and hookup. I now have one open port on my router and two open ports on my new switch in my computer room. Everything that has a gigabit port runs at 10/100/1000 speed. If you are going to use a switch, then purchase a gigabit switch! It is that important! This new switch works and looks great set up between my modem and my router on a stand behind my monitor. You will not be disappointed in this netgear switch.

The store had a number of different brands available, at varying prices. This was the absolute cheapest, has performed for weeks flawlessly, was plug and play. It was suggested by store employee over MUCH higher priced units.

Excellent product that does the job. Easy set up allowed even the not-so-tech employee to get it up and running. Nice and compact so it does not get in the way. Would like to have two more ports, but performance for the price is well worth it.

This was the cheapest switch at the store and works just fine. We have 4 Xbox ones pluged in, and this little guy keeps us connected with no issues.

Needed a quick and easy way to expand the number of Gigabit Ethernet ports on my home network, this switch was very simple and fast to setup. No fuss. I've bought two of these now and they are reliable.

I'm using this switch as part of a company network. This switch is easy to use and has managed to deliver solid cat5 extensions to each computer. The size has allowed the unit to be easily disgusied and managed.

I got this switch in order to build a dorm room network. The college put the single data port in a very poor location so in order to support all of the connected devices we have I needed to add a switch. This switch was inexpensive which could have been a sign that it was poorly made. So far it has withstood over a month of contstant college level use with no issues reported. It was small and light weight enough to allow me to use 2 Command Strips to mount it to the wall with the ports facing down. I also added some cable support so the cables do not pull on the switch when they hang down. This past weekend I checked on how the network was performing and was told it was flawless so I consider this an excellent choice for someone who needs a switch and not a router.

Good price on an easy to set up and super solid switch. I used it in my home theater and all of my devices stream quickly with no buffering and speed tests on them are as fast as a speed test directly on my main cable modem. Netgear is my preferred networking component company because all their stuff just works and never fails.

Pros: adds extra ports to your router. Fast and doesn’t take up much space. Cons: realistically it’s a 4 port Ethernet port. 1 port is the input.

This box works great. Added ports to expand the lack of ports in the provided router from the cable company. Gives me much more capability for a minimum amount of money, and no headaches doing this. Worth the money.

Needed a few more Ethernet ports and this has worked 100%, super simple to set up, size is compact-easy to pack and carry and it even looks "hip"...considering it's a network switching device.
