Upgraded my home network and replaced my 3 routers with the NetGear Gigabit routers. Immediately saw a boost in transfer rates over my old 10/100 Linksys routers, but also I no longer have dropped packets doing large transfers to/from my NAS. Quick and easy to use, just remove the old router and plug this one in. No partitioning or setup required. Streaming movies or video to my TVs is smooth and fast now.

Needed to add a couple of ethernet ports to my home office which had 1 cat 5 drop from where router is located in center of house. Plugged in power, then then the cat5 ethernet cable. Then plugged in additional devices and they immediately connected to the internet. Nothing had to be changed in cable router setup. Could not have been easier to install. was truly plug and play for me.

I have a wifi system throughout the house but each unit only takes 2 ethernet cables. I would prefer to hardwire over wireless. I plugged this into the one ethernet port on my unit and was able to plug in items such as Apple 4K, Samsung TV, etc. Works great. Not expensive. No issues.

I needed to connect the various ethernet ports in my home to my router and did not have enough connections. This switch came in handy. It can distinguish incoming and outgoing connections so all you have to do is connect all cables without plugging incoming cable in a specific port. Overall, it has worked flawlessly for 2 months.

I got this router to have a wired, as opposed to a wireless connection, to my two PCs, Play Station, and Xbox. Since I have connected it I haven't had any network connectivity issues. The router allows you to get the best speeds on your cable connection, is plug and play and sports a low profile look which is what I wanted. I would definitely recommend this product.

Needed a new switch to run one incoming Ethernet cable to two devices. Picked this one because I'd been told I needed a gigabit switch. I'm no network guru, so wasn't sure what to expect. No worries - plugged it in and everything worked just fine. So far, I've had no hiccups - both devices are on the network and humming along. Saved some $ by not having to get the outside IT pro involved.

This unit met all my needs and allowed me to connect multiple devices within my entertainment center, a must when downloading 4k content to my Sony Ultra HD (4k) media player, blu-ray player streaming 1080p contend from VUDU, my receiver and 65" sony 4k TV. The setup was simply plug and play and the init is small enough to be tucked out ofbthe way. It has great performance for a great price.

Bought this for daughter to use in her dorm room. WiFI is not allowed in the dorm so she needed a way to connect multiple ethernet devices (computer, printer, "smart" Bluray player) without using WiFi. This ethernet switch fills the need with quick & easy installation and zero maintenance or monitoring required. Basically just plug in power and the various devices via CAT-5 cable (or equivalent) and the switch does the rest. She now has her own in-room network to connect everything together. I needed something quickly so didn't comparison shop. Netgear has a good reputation and I have other Netgear equipment at home so I just picked it quickly and paid the price. Doing a bit of research after the the fact I find there are equivalent products available for at least 25% less. With that said, Netgear does make good products that I've never had a problem with in the past.

I had a room where wireless was sketchy so I ran a Cat 5e line from the main router to this room. Just plugged in cable to port 1 (you can use any port) and plugged in the PC and printer to the other ports and was on the network/internet at full speed. Great little box to maintain your connection.
