I have this ethernet switch located behind my TV. I have everything connected to this switch from Xbox/Hue and Kwick bridge. My Cable Box and my TV. The only mistake I did was not purchasing one with more connection. I high recommend this device if you don't wire every where.

I’m no expert, but this switch seemed to do the trick for me. Have gigabit internet at home and needed to get CAT5 to some other locations, including a few access points. Speeds seem to have been maintained after the install.

I highly recommend this if you have a few wired capable devices such as servers, smart TVs, etc. Wired connections are MUCH more reliable that wireless connections and this will help facilitate them if you run out of ports on your modem and/or router. This will last you for years- mine has!
