I purchased this after the product from Amazon failed me. I had a technician here for over 2 hours just to connect a modem and we finally realized it was defective. I purchase this one from Best Buy, brought it home, and connected it myself and cancelled my next service call - HOORAY!!

This cable modem was simple to install, and it has been providing flawless performance from Day 1. It is a very good value for cable modems in this speed range and and level of reliability.

The netgear cable modem was easy to install and the instructions were very clear. I made a call to the cable company to register the netgear cable modem. I save about $8 a month off my cable company bill since I no longer have to rent their modem.

Found the setup to be a pain. My new computer couldn't connect to it for some reason, so I completed the setup via phone. Customer service was polite, but ultimately not helpful. Excellent value for the price. Once hooked up and working, no problems.

Cheaper than renting from TWC and the speed is definitely much faster. Product has been working without hiccups since Nov 2015.

Great modem for great price. After research, highly recommended by Best Buy staff. Performance is excellent and installation a breeze.

I'm about the least "techie" person there is...brought it home and hooked it up. Only issue I had was with Cox getting it registered. Wasn't on their dropdown list so had to call to get it registered. Would definitely recommend this modem.

This product is just what I needed nothing more, at a low price. It has already paid for itself. No more paying for equipment I'll never own. Just keep in mind that with this one only has one portal. You can only use Ethernet or plug in a router but not a the same time

I actually went into Best Buy to get a combo modem/router, but after explaining to a salesperson that I was wanting it so I could stop paying $10 a month to the cable company for the use of theirs, he said he did not recommend a combo only because the routers become outdated after not very long where modems last a lot longer. I already had a Netgear router at home, so I bought this modem. Price was very inexpensive and works great and is saving us money besides. Just another note; our house is one level ranch and we use two laptop computers in the house, three tvs with two that stream, and a tablet and it is perfect.

Definitely recommend for novice to tech or advanced user. Works right from the start without issues on how to install etc.

I left cox and went to Century Link for 2 weeks and needed a modem when I switched back to avoid a service fee and this is great for home use. There are ones out there that have more megs but this modem is perfect if your not a heavy gamer or stream stream 24/7.

Bought this modem together with the Belkin - Dual-Band Wireless-AC+ Gigabit Router. So far, the two items deliver internet connectivity that is way better than what our cable company's modem was able to offer. We now have faster internet speed and multiple devices (4-7) connected at a time.

will pay for itself in 8 months rather than paying rent and have nothing plus don't have to go to their place and stand in line to be treated like they are doing you a favor instead of thanking you for being a customer. Best way to go on the Internet also don't have to pay then $50.00 to set it up

This modem works great! Mom was paying to rent one from Comcast for $10 a month for last 12 months. This was inexpensive and will have paid for itself in 5 months! She could have bought more than two. Has no phone plug in for a Life alert but does the job!

This cable modem saves me the cost of renting a modem from my cable provider. It works well and was easy to set up.

Netgear makes some really good products. This modem replaced the one bought from the cable company that I have had for a long time. Glad Best Buy had it, was not going to purchase or rent one from the cable company. Like having my own gear and this one works with my new Netgear router.

This modem was simple to set up and only took a few minutes to get it going. I did have to call Comcast to have them register it but again was a less than 5 minute call.

Easy install, no issues, works perfectly, faster than my last modem. Streaming movies and playing games at the same time is no longer an issue.

No problems so far all I did was plug it in and I was back on the net like nothing ever happen

Originally bought this so that I can use it on my Xfinity X1 cable internet. I already have a router that is also the same brand, and it was so easy to link the 2 together. Promised speed was up to 128Mbps and it just delivers. Very good modem I've had so far.
