I know this is not the most expensive nor the fastest router you can buy with all the belts and whistles but this product gets the job done. I used to be with AT&T and in my area there was only 18 mbps internet speed....sad. However I recently moved 5 minutes from where I was an the high speed at this location with AT&T is 50. For a game with streaming products, call phones, tablets, and laptops running I needed more so I switched to Spectrum to get 100! Speed ok but dropped connection often. Cheap equipment from ISP. Bought this router in place of the one ISP provided and.......WOW! I have not dropped connection since connecting!

So far my NETGEAR router has worked well. It was not hard to hook up and so far have had not had any problems. This router is used in my home network whether on my desktop, laptop, Ipad or cell phone. Its also helps on my smart TV when streaming as well as on my daughters cell phone or laptop.

I was looking for a basic router to install in my office. This product is simple to install and provides decent speeds. The interface is a little lacking though compared to what you get with ASUS. Overall, if you are looking for a basic router and not overly concerned about parental and general router controls then this will do.

I like that it has a Modem and Router included. The utility rents two devices which is very inconvenient.

Did exactly what I needed with grandkids home schooling it takes care of all their needs. The quality and range is exceptional. It is feeding to laptops, ruku tv and a desktop all at the same time without a problem. For the price (excellent) and quality I highly recommend this model

This WiFi router has given us the freedom to use our laptops all over our apt without losing internet connection. I keeps a strong, continuous WiFi signal in every corner of our place, I don't know how we got along without this router. Great equipment at a very reasonable price!

Needed more S P A C E! Good for extending the ranges of all my sisters devices around her old wooden 3 story house with basement. Not a full line of site, but 3 of these strategically located on main floors and basement, makes Net access wonderful + fast. The phones web access and the RING devices look awe... at max res now without hiccups.

It's a good router. Nothing special though. It's fast, signal is good, the administrator panel is the same panel as all NETGEAR products have so it's easy to use, but doesn't provide any advanced features. What it lacks is an upright stand, so it takes up a lot of desk real estate.

Netgear has always been my go to brand for Network stuff, I have had too many problems with all the other brands, netgear stuff just works 99 percent of the time and always has solid gateway/firewall software. This base model router rocks, highly recommended if you are on a budget and don't need fancy home automation integration built in.

I had to replace my Netgear router. The one I had was about 12+ years old. I was having trouble connecting and a tech person from Spectrum said it's probably my router. I wanted to stick with the Netgear brand because it had done well for so many years. I was also familiar with it. I bought this one because the price was reasonable and fit my budget. I am happy with it. I like that it comes with the Nighthawk app so I can easily see what devices are connected. The only problem I had was connecting my Chromecast device with the router. I had to do side research on why it wasn't working. You have to keep the same network name as the router it previously was connected to. I had to change the name back to what my old router had. The device you buy gives you the name such as Netgear10 (two numbers are given after Netgear). It worked with Chromecast after that change.

easy to set up and use gets good reception, great price for the product. handles the normal life with a few connections but not for a heavy user with lots of connected devices

I bought this for my 1 bedroom apartment and it works great. I have spectrum as my service rovider and I receive 100 MB down. This router is more than enough for my needs. It can handle speeds up to 300 MB, and wirelessly I’m getting 90. I’m really happy with it. So far I haven’t had any dropouts. Setup was easy and straight forward. I have 2 networks setup, a 2.5 and a 5 ghz.

The router works fine, you get 1gig thruput for $60 which is a bit steep in my opinion. At least you get features you'd expect and a decent quality plastic box from Asus.

This product works much better for me than the combo router and modem that I couldn’t get set up! Good streaming speed! Never buffers on videos on phone or on Netflix and Hulu on the tv! Great pruchase!
