I got this router when my three year old linksys router died. Bought it at the store 10 minutes before closing - it seemed to be a middle of the road option and I thought I'd try netgear since two linksys routers had died. Set up took me a while- there's some genie thing that you use and it has a default password. I wa ted to change that. Whatever I typed was still displayed. It appeared that anyone who accessed the software would be able to see my password and access my system. I had to track down and read on line help to figure out how to change it. That was done on an unsecured web address. Just seemed odd. Maybe all of that is just over my head and those things aren't important but it seemed weird. The router had to be reset on the second day but then it started working. Had some trouble getting my hp printer to connect to the network but that could just be hp and not the router. I use wifi for cell phone coverage at home and it drops quite a bit. So bottom line I guess it works pretty well but it's a bit confusing.

Was easy to set up, plug it in, turn it on and it worked. No issues at all.

I have found the AC1200 Router to be a reliable for the most part but have occasionally run into problems with the signal due to the structural components of my home. We have steel beams in the basement and a solid stone fireplace. These components restrict the signal to certain areas of the house. Perhaps a stronger signal would have been more appropriate for me.

This is a good router for the price. Fast speeds and great distance.

Have HughesNet and needed a new router that would pick up more signal.

Currently, I have a two-story and wasn't getting good reception upstairs since the original router is located downstairs. I added this router to upstairs bedroom. Now I have great wifi signal strength both up and downstairs. The only catch is that now I have two different wifis in my house and have to manually switch between the both of them.

This is one of the best routers for the money. The dual bands speeds things up!

Good router. Handles my 50mb connection just fine with 4 connected devices

Replaced my old modem/router combo and more than doubled my internet speed.

It's a good router that's not too expensive. Has worked great for me.
