I got this router because my Spectrum internet speeds I was paying for was 200mb plus and my old router only went to 100. After I got this my tv updated and since then my fandangoNOW and VUDU tend to take forever to update and picture goes in and out of quality when streaming 4k. For playing PS4 games online like COD and Madden, it does the job and I seem to get lag at random times, which tells me it is depending on how many devices or connected and streaming and how the actual internet speed from modem is transmitting. I only had two other TVs and 2 tablets with 3 phones on the WiFi, and again I get lag at random times, so not sure if router is the issue or not. If you only steam apps and need it for laptop/tablet support, this is the bang for the buck, not sure for those that use more bandwidth can get away with it with multiple devices in home.

I brought it to the office in order to finish installing my new new internet wi fi system and all that had to be done was take it out of the box and plug everything in and it started working and is still working without problem. I have always had good results when I used netgear products with my internet hook-up.

I bought this for a friend to replace his rental from the cable company. I have a Nighthawk and this is the next best thing for the money. Great reputation, bullet proof reliability, easy to set up and great customer service. This is is not for the power user but will do just fine for just about everything else.

Great speeds, and strong wifi signal. I had a linksys router previously and it would cut out constantly. But this one stays strong and fast always. The multiple ethernet ports are great for desktops and gaming consoles, while using wifi for laptops and phones. Have over 10 devices in household with no problems.

Easy setup. Netgear Genie App makes monitoring traffic, configuring passwords, and establishing guest account a breeze. This router was a replacement for an old Wireless G that kept crapping out. I use this router Exede satellite internet. Works flawlessly with the satellite modem. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Works great. No slow down. Range could be a little bit better but still pretty good for the price. We needed to upgrade our router and always had good luck with netgear routers. I do wish it came with an actual instruction book, along with the quick startup guide.

I bought this router to replace another Netgear router that I have been using with a custom build of OpenWRT called ROOter. I verified in advance that the firmware build is compatible with the model R6220 router. I have now replaced the factory firmware with ROOter, and it's running great. I use ROOter because it allows me to connect a mobile modem through the USB port on the router, and distribute the internet signal both through the wired switch connections and the Wi-Fi connections. I'm strongly limited by the available cellular data signal, so I'm nowhere near the rated 1200 Mbits/sec capacity. I'm hoping that as the cellular network gets upgraded, this router will help me get up into a few hundred Mbits/second range.

This router has been working well for over a month and everything is great. However, buyers beware, it wasn't so simple to get this router set up. You better have a computer and a cell phone that has internet access before you purchase this one. It takes both of them to get things off and running, which was a complete shock! My last router that I had for over 12 years was so simple, plug in-- press some buttons and voila! This one can only be set up with you having to download apps first in order to read the directions to set it up. Then all hell breaks loose and you'll have to call the company. You will also spend hours trying to find a 1-800 number too because it IS NOT included with the information in the box and impossible to find on line. So, good luck. It will work well after you spend two days setting it up but you have to have a of patience or have a few drinks!

This wi-fi router is inexpensive, and does the trick for those with basic wireless needs. Wish I could say the same for Netgear’s tech support. Ran across a snag during set-up. In order to receive any level of support from Netgear, a $5 charge was demanded. Yes; $5 hardly breaks the bank, but it’s the point. Will never again purchase a Netgear product.

My old router was beginning to fade and not provide the desired coverage. However, this new NETGEAR is just what I was looking for; straight out of the box, easy to set up, and giving me coverage well beyond that of the router it replaced.
