After purchasing new broadband service, we needed a new high speed router to handle not only the speed, but also the amount of wireless equipment. The AC1200 fit the bill at a reasonable price while supplying all the broadband we need. Thanks BestBuy...

Spoke with sales associate about a router. He asked a question about the sq footage (2200 sq ft). and suggested the AC1200. It was the perfect choice. I have used the router for the past 3 months and rarely have any problems with the size. Easy to install, easy to use!

This wireless router was a snap to setup and has performed flawlessly ever since. Having the pass key on the underside label is very convenient and it is nice that it is in pseudo-simple words is much easier than alpha-numeric mix-match. Good value.

Have been using it for over a month now. Strong and stable signal all over the house (3 stories) so far both for 2.4 and 5 GHz. I have set the antennas perpendicular to each other to get the maximum coverage (each antenna creates a douhgnut of signals around it). The Good: * Strong and stable signals * Still getting firmware updates (latest in Feb 2019) * Lots of features if you need them * External adjustable antennas Not so good: * The router takes a long time to save any configuration * Enabling VPN also enables 'Respond to Ping on Internet Port' * No HTTPS for router UI * Does not always resolve local machine names. That can be an issue for printers configured by name instead of IP address or for accessing local computers using RDP, * Does not show attached devices grouped by SSIDs

Very easy to set up. Replaced an old Netgear router and wish I had done that sooner. Have not had any issues with this new unit. The Nighthawk App is awesome, makes setup and monitoring devices very easy.

Easy setup and clear instructions, works well without interruptions. Too bad that there is no instruction on how to connect the router to a router modem and being able put the router in bridge mode. This would be helpful. I love the netgear genie functionality.

Easy to install but remember you will half to change your password on all of your hardware. NETGEAR Genie allows you to see and do more using your router. Allows the use of more than one device at the same time. No problems with watching movies over the internet.

These routers are fairly easy to set up (I used the manual configuration since I have very specific settings). I bought three, and had problems with one not transmitting the full bandwidth that the other two were (so I exchanged it). My one criticism is that newer routers just don't offer the same large and consistent footprint that the old Linksys WRT54G do, even with their G band.

I usually use the AC1750 for most installs but used this at my father's house and it works great. He only streams media from 1 tv and has a total of about 10 network items. This has the range and speeds that keeps him working.
