This Netgear R6220 has been the easiest router that we have ever set up. With its Nighthawk app, everything in the setup process went without a hiccup, and we were online in 15 minutes, including opening the box. It has only been a short period since we purchased this router, but it has been running trouble-free from the first time it was set up. In terms of the performance, however, it is okay but not great. The effective range for 5 GHz is not very good, with a big drop in signal strength only 12 feet away. We also have a TP-Link Archer A7 router in our household, and whereas the TP-Link does not have a great 5 GHz range, either, the Netgear R6220 falls short of even that of the TP-Link Archer A7. Because we have a mesh system that is plugged into this router as access points, the range of the router is not a problem (the mesh system envelopes the whole house). If, however, this is your only Wi-Fi access point and you rely on the 5 GHz band, be forewarned. And on the crowded 2.4 GHz band in our area, the speed via this router is dramatically slower than 5 GHz. So this is the issue: 5 GHz is plenty fast but has a poor range, and 2.4 GHz's range is fine but runs very slowly if the band is crowded. For our purpose (as we mentioned above, we have a mesh system that is plugged into this router), the Netgear R6220 is sufficient. The setup is also extremely easy. However, we would not recommend this router to anyone who needs a decent range in the 5 GHz band or does not have a mesh system to go with it.

Router was easy to setup. Great use for the apartment.

I have no complaints with this router. Its easy to configure and has decent speeds. We can have up to about 8 devices connected at once, some streaming or gameplay, and no lag at all.

I replaced my NETGEAR WI-FI router of 8 years with this new model. Installation was very easy and I have been satisfied with the performance of the router.

Relatively easy setup, old router address took a bit to override, but within 30 minutes we were up and running. No downtime since we got running. Old router would cut out 3-4 times a day. Great upgrade!!!

This Unit replaced a different brand unit that kept having to be reset, often several times a day. So far, after about a month, have had no issues, and it provides good, fast, reliable service throughout the entire house.

Bought this router to improve signal strength to increase coverage in the house and outside. Works well and I coupled it with Netgear Extender to match. So far no complaints and less headaches compared to what I had.

There was no interference and the Internet was fast.

The given picture does not even come close to the true size ( I didn't read the size close enough ). Very easy to set up and as of this date no problems .
