Great first wireless router.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first wireless router and it was fairly easy to set up. It comes with an easy to follow guide on how to set it up. One negative thing though is that it recommends downloading the genie app for monitoring/accessing the router. The app does work well and looks pretty nice. However, it wouldn't allow my computer to shut down afterwards, so I uninstalled the app. Whenever I want to access the router now I just use routerlogin.net. Other than that I haven't had any issues with the router itself so far.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a technologically advanced guy. I just wanted a router powerful enough to reach my entire 3600 square foot home and handle all the traffic needed nowadays. And I needed one that was easy to set up and to check on when needed. This fit the bill. I also appreciated the great customer service of the BB associate who helped me think though my needs and select. That is why I patronize BB as a bricks-and-mortar store instead of on-line shopping for these types of products.

Good all around router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One size does not fit all in routers. But if you are planning on streaming, getting a little more speed and distance than your 5 year old router, this is your replacement without breaking the bank. I would consider the price point to be the beginning range but performance is way up there with others double or triple the cost. It is AC so it will work with more future products but does a superb job with current technologies with out all the features that no one uses.

Excellent Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great router. Easy setup. Very fast. Great distance. Way better than a Linksys. I had an old Netgear router that was starting to be slow. So I went to Best Buy and asked an associate who recommended Linksys over Netgear. He was WRONG. Took it back and got this Netgear. Internet is now super fast and has waaayyyy better distance. I can now stream Netflix with ease again.

Great for college student
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my college freshman son. It was easy to set up and he reports that it works reliably with the university's fiber Internet access. I am pleased with its performance so far.

Very good router of a good price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good router. I purchased it for my daughter's apt and she has been very happy with it. It was easy to set up and goes a very good job covering her apt and also her outdoor patio. We currently have a Netgear unit in our house that has worked very well which is why I went with this unit and it has not disappointed. Reasonable price.

Handles just about everything
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't really use the wireless function on it because I already have Ubiquiti brand wireless access points in my home that cover everything just fine. But even just as a wired router, it is easy to use and configure settings. It also can handle a high load from multiple devices very well without seemingly slowing down anyone's connection. For its performance and features, it is well priced when compared to other similar products.

Great stable router replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was losing my wireless connection on my Netgear router wgr614 and I needed to restart it every other day. Since I was familiar with Netgear router and saw Best Buy had a great price for the AC1200, I purchased it. Been using it over a month now, and providing a solid wireless connection with the dual antenna. No need to reset the router yet. Also, bought this for the future purchase of new wireless device with the AC protocol to enjoy faster speeds, and is still compatible with my current b/g/n wireless adapter in my laptop.

Only netgear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's in no way a perfect router, although it has very good range, and I've only had to reset it once, which is excellent in comparison to other brands.

Boosted the speed and easy set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This netgear router was easy to set up. The range is great but I added a booster to strengthen the out door signal. The router is up stairs in 2200 square foot house and I have about 21 devices using it. I noticed a big increase in speed for the TV, hard wires desktop and my x box one. The laptops didn't speed up because they are old and capped out by their Wi-Fi cards.

Fast but tricky to change the setting.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is an app, but it’s a trick to change the settings. You actually have to log in on a computer. Otherwise it was fast and reasonably priced.

Great Router for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased to replace an old belkin router. I have eight devices in my home that use WiFi and the old router could not handle it without issues. Mounted the router in the basement up on the floor joists and have good signal all thru the house including garage and outside on the deck. Easy setup with app and so far it has worked with no problems.

Solid wireless router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for ~$50 as a part of black Friday deal to replace my previous Belkin router that had to be reset almost on a daily basis. Got Netgear wireless router because that's the brand Charter uses when they rent out wireless routers for extra fee. Figured Netgear would probably have the least compatibility issues. Much happier with this purchase and Netgear. Solid performance but sometimes the connection can get choppy but it might be due to cable. $50 well spent
