My family lives in a two bedroom, 1,200 sq. ft. basement apartment, and I have full bars throughout the entire apartment. I have yet to have any connection issues, and it can handle streaming for our devices (iPad, iPhone, Xbox, laptops) at the same time.

Great router for the apartment. Provides plenty of speed for the price.

First off I would like to say that this wireless router is excellent when it works. I bought it to replace an old "G" router that I had. This router will broadcast at "N" speeds (2.4 GHz) and "AC" speeds (5GHz). I had quite a lot of trouble setting it up. Bad news it took Me, the NetGear phone support, the Spectrum Cable guy, and 2 friends (one of which is employed as an IT specialist) to finally get it to work with my computer so I could set up the router. The good news is that it turned out to be the Ethernet card and drivers from my old 2009 computer. No amount of driver updating and Ethernet card resets worked to get this router compatible with my old computer. So my IT friend and I came up with using the old "G" router as a hard wired bridge to this new NetGear Router. However my new December 2017 MSI Laptop, PS3, PS4, Sony Bravia TV and HTC one Phone all worked with it just fine once I got it set up via hard wired computer. So moral of long story... Some older Ethernet cards and drivers may not be compatible with this wireless router out of the box. I saw that this product had either 5/5 or 1/5 reviews. The bad reviews were likely caused by a small percentage of factory defects but the majority look like the issue I had, an incompatible old Ethernet card or drivers. Final advice.. if you are going to buy this, talk to NetGear first to see if it is compatible with your older Ethernet card and driver versions. If you have trouble with it out of the box, update your Ethernet card drivers, and if it still does not work then your old Ethernet card may be incompatible or you are really unlucky and got a factory defective one.

The man who installed the router for us said this router has a very long range. He said we could probably go half way down our yard and still get internet service on our laptop. Very good quality router and easy to install. You get what you pay for!

This router was simple to connect and delivers the high speed of my internet connection. I have used Netgear routers in the past and they are very long lasting and work after power outages of all kinds.

We had a Netgear before this one and have just stuck with this brand since it has been a good one. We would recommend this to anyone who was considering buying a new router. We have installed this new one and are happy with it.

This router was extremely easy to setup. I've had no connection issues while streaming HD. The position-able antennas allow for easy fine tuning using the Genie app. This is my first Netgear router and I'm definitely impressed. It's well worth the low price.

Works great and is easy to install. Does everything I wanted it to do

Previously i was using Netgear N300 which was performing very bad my speed is 150 mbps and i use to get 10 mbps with my old Router. Now i am pretty much satisfied with this New Dual band Router connecting multiple devices and satisfied with the speed.

Good, not great. My home is single story and only 1800 SqFt. So I would expect this to provide decent coverage throughout. Unfortunately, it is basically useless in my office. I have it set up in the living room for streaming shows, and it works well in the 3 rooms surrounding the living room (two bedrooms and the kitchen). Past that, the signal is too weak for a stable connection. Tested on my Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, iPad, and 2 new iPhones. All drop connection fairly often. This wasn't really an issue for me as I rarely used the office until I started working from home, but now I'll be buying a different one. Maybe I'll go mesh.

I bought this after talking to the sales person at Best Buy about my needs. He said this was what I needed with my number of devices. It works great, way better than the one I had which was twice as much money. This was a lot cheaper.

definitely not the best router, but enough for basic internet usage

Had to help family with a failing router - this was a good price for a basic modern unit. Not the best or the fastest - but also not the highest priced. If you need a basic router for a light use household, this works well.

The product is performing better than I anticipated, as i have had issues with Netgear before. For those shopping for a new router, this product is very reliable. No issues whatsoever.

This is the best to date and I have no complain. :-)

It was a very quick setup and the program that you use to make adjustments/control the settings is very user-friendly. I returned it only bc I ended up getting a Google Wifi setup but if I did not get Google, I easily would have kept the NetHear.

I give 4 stars bc it works just as described in the the details Although it isnt what i was looking for as i was inna rush at the time. But all aroumd good product

My old router died just when i bought 4k tv...this was a nice upgrade.

This router was too easy to set up. I know, because I was able to do it - just doesn't happen with me and technology. Top-notch router, even if it were more expensive. Was able to connect all my devices with no problem.
