Great wifi adapter. Has a good range for the price.

My laptop no longer recognized the signal from my home wifi / router so I had to use an extra long USB cable and stretch it across the house! I wasn't prepared to buy a new computer. It was very easy to set up / install. Sometimes you need to adjust whether it is tilted or straight out (kind of like how an antenna works) but it certainly did the trick!

I bought this as an upgrade to my desktop's built in wifi card, which was a 2.4GHz only, single stream 802.11n adapter. With the old card, I would experience some occasional pauses for buffering when streaming HD movies from my desktop to my smart TV, and File transfers from other computers in the house ran around 5MB/s (it connected to the at an average connection speed around 100Mbit/s). With this card I get a consistent 300Mbit/s connection to the router's 5GHz network, file transfers are much faster at around 20MB/s, and i've not seen any stutters or buffering when streaming movies over the wifi connection, and this is using an 802.11N router. I plan on upgrading to an 802.11AC router in the future and this card will be able to deliver even more speed when i do, and with USB 3.0, it won't be bottle-necked by USB. I deducted one star simply because i would love to see a 3 stream version of this adapter to enable even higher transfer rates.

This is wonderful. My son was constantly complaining he was getting kicked off wifi. He had an adapter in his USB port and someone told us they eventually can get old. It was older. I went and bought this one and he hasn't got kicked off wifi since. It's been since Christmas. Prior he was kicked off at least once a day.

Easy to use and fast, works perfectly with windows

This was a great product. It has a very easy user interface and is simple to set up. I set this up in just a few minutes and my PC was flying on the internet. Great Price, easy setup, quality product!

Very easy setup for an older PC that does not have a wireless card. Much easier than having to open the PC, find an unused slot and plugging it in and then configuring it. This was Plug-n-Play to a usb slot. Did have to run a CD to have it seamlessly introduced to the operating system. Overall, a breeze and it works great!

When my network card was fried during an electric storm my internet was down. The NETGEAR - AC1200 Wireless-AC High-Gain Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter was a life-saver! It was easy to connect and get operational. My internet is back up and running and have no problems. Would recommend to anyone looking for a wireless adapter.

I purchased 2 of these for my children desktops after power line adapters failed. I have consistently reached 100mb over a wifi at about 30feet from the access point and upstairs. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with network issues.

The adapter is great and is used for Wi Fi. So far everything is working as well as the adapter. I would recommend this adapter for anyone wanting to use WiFi. The directions that are in the package are easy to understand. I recommend this adapter for anyone wanting to convert to WiFi.

I upgraded to this wireless device after my previous Netgear A6200 started having trouble maintaining a high-speed connection (was not getting the full bandwidth) to my router. This new AC1200 dongle has better range than my previous A6200, a higher bandwidth capability, and reliably connects at my full 300mbit every time. It reaches my router, which is on the opposite corner of my house, with 4/5 or 5/5 bars easily. It seemed to run fine on generic Wi-Fi drivers on Windows 10, but the included software from Netgear is fairly solid, and would recommend it as well. Overall, a great purchase and a great USB Wi-Fi adapter short of going the PCI card route, or ethernet/powerline.

The Netgear AC1200 is a well made product and has eliminated my problem of not being able to capture the wifi signal from my PC to my laptop. It is simple to install and to take down when finished using.

Great product performs as advertised and it has a very sleep package. I enjoyed how the unit basically folds into itself. Not to forget it comes with its only stand! Software is very intuitive and easy to use. This was most definitely an upgrade from my standard laptop wireless card. Highly recommended.

This is now the 2nd one I've purchased from bestbuy, and I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this little thing. The first one, is used in my house, and although the pc isn't far from the router, this makes me confident that I am getting the best transfer speed possible! The second one is used at my work, and the router is pretty far away (maybe 100ft with about 6 walls in between) and it works just great! I am very happy with its performance, and so far has been my go-to suggestion for external USB wifi adapters!

Have used about six weeks, good experience. All I wanted was a basic adapter that would receive through a wall and a floor, in order to use our router upstairs. Not all do this, but this one does it well and reliably so. It is as fast or faster than the one I had to replace when I updated the computer.

My wifi card had been acting up and was working off and on for a while driving me crazy! I look into replacing the card and decided it was bot worth the effort. So, I looked at the price to have it done and buying a new computer. I looked at my options and decided to try a wifi adapter. The cost was certainly affordable, considering my options. I bought the Netgear AC1200, plugged it in and now I get online faster, stay online, and avoided the other costs! It almost like buying a new computer!!!

I purchased this USB adapter after the network card in my laptop took a dump after I upgraded to Windows 10. After doing some research online, I found that a lot of people found their cards got bricked after upgrading as well. Something about a firmware incompatibility issue or something. I'm not going to pretend to know all the intricacies of it. What I do know is that this adapter is pretty sweet for the price, and it's ac, which is great since the card I had in my laptop to begin with was only bgn. So now my internet speeds are actually faster than they were initially which is a nice bonus. It's really easy to "install." Just plug it in to any USB port and it pretty much takes care of the rest. I was back online in like 2 minutes. If you're like me and you aren't really tech savvy to the point where you feel comfortable breaking in to your laptop to install a new network card, I would say this is a great and fairly inexpensive alternative.
