Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

Needed stronger Wifi for my laptop as it only supported 2.4GHZ. This provided the 5.0 that I was missing. Works great and keeps the connection strong and connected. Great for the price

My wifi card had been acting up and was working off and on for a while driving me crazy! I look into replacing the card and decided it was bot worth the effort. So, I looked at the price to have it done and buying a new computer. I looked at my options and decided to try a wifi adapter. The cost was certainly affordable, considering my options. I bought the Netgear AC1200, plugged it in and now I get online faster, stay online, and avoided the other costs! It almost like buying a new computer!!!

Great Wireless USB Connection for Desktop

I needed to make a desktop wireless because the desktop lost access to the secure work network and the company had been abandoned by our internet providers. While we were waiting on the contract from a new company to fix our computer/internet connectivity problems, the company needed a quick temporary fix to our problem. This item has served us well. I would buy it again if I needed to. Al I had to do was plug it in and follow the prompts. Easy Installation. Great Price! Best Buy had knowledgeable staff who pointed me in the right direction and suggested this item over another. I was pleased with the decision to purchase this item.

I have this receiver just on the fringe of my wireless router's range. I use the desk cradle to get the receiver a little further from other electronics to reduce interference, and it has worked great. I'm still using 11n Apple Extreme router but plan to upgrade to an AC soon to take full advantage of this product.

Super-simple setup.
Works perfectly. One of the lowest priced WiFi products of its kind. Love the extension cable. It has never failed or lost the connection.

Really enjoying this wireless adapter. Using it with the supplied dock for a better vantage point for signal in my bedroom and getting about 85mbps down. Not the fastest you could get, but more than I was getting on 802.11n with my old TP Link adapter. Using this with the TP Link OnHub router on 200mbps service. More about future proofing my hardware than outright speed at the moment.
Works great, but you need to download the driver. Works better than using their CD. Use the _SA version to install without the Netgear Genie software. Use the non _SA version if you're using all Netgear networking hardware. Just easier to manage it all then.

If you need network access on your computer, and there isnt a cable to be used anywhere close, this is a great option. Just make sure to have the wireless access point to take full advantage of the speed offered by this product.

I bought this product for my son's All-in-one Lenovo desktop, since the wifi card that came with the system was too slow. It worked as advertised and the results have been amazing. Easy installation and comes with a small cradle. You can't go wrong with Netgear.

Where I have my computer set up is not near the cable jack. I didn't want to run the cables all along the walls and didn't want to move the computer. The option was a USB wifi adapter. This thing works great. I did a speedtest and gets 39mbps download and 28mbps upload. Couldn't ask for a better option.

Price was a little high. Installation instructions didnt work, had to ad lib to get it to work. Once the installation was complete, I have had zero issues. The blue shirt guy took me right to where I needed and showed me all the choices and compared them.

Excellent equipment. Setup can be a challenge and from time to time causes my ASUS RT-NT66U to forget who is signed on but it is fast if you have a high speed service to use it with. Excellent in head-on gaming wired of wireless.

Recently moved and the layout of the new house did not allow me to plug the computer directly into the router. SO instead of running a network cable across the living room, this was the perfect solution. Made my old computer wireless in a mater of minutes! Thanks BB

I purchased this for a relative who has no internet outlet in her room. She had previously purchased another receiver that would always drop her service while on the net. Since I gave her this receiver she has been very happy because it has worked without any problems.

Did not improve speed as much as thought. Paired with a new Linksys WRT1900AC. While its fast enough, am comparing to an internal N spec PCI WiFi card. Perhaps the USB3 vs PCI is the issue. Am keeping as one can position this adapter to better receive signal vs. a stationary card in a PC.

I purchased a new wireless router to be more compatible with my internet speeds and so I could hook more devices up wirelessly to the net. Purchased two of these, one for my sister in law's PC (she just moved in with us) and one for my old PC. Moved my old PC downstairs to the dining room and hooked up one of these wireless gizmos (50 feet from the new router). Works GREAT! Am surfing with great speed and no hic-ups. Ditto my sister in law who is only about 10 feet from the router. Glad I didn't have to drill a hole in the wall and hook up an actual cable in order to surf the net...

I use a Toshiba laptop running Windows 10 with Time Warner internet wireless connection. My download Mbps has always been very low, sometimes as low as 15 Mbps, never higher than 40-45. Because my plan called for a lot more Mbps, I had TWC technicians out several times, each time assuring me my TWC-provided Arris modem/router was getting adequate signal. The last technician suggested that the built-in adaptor was not adequate and recommender buying a new one . This Netgear adapter did the trick. Easy to install, now my MBPS is never lower than 110 Mbps, has been as high as 190.
