Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

Works really well if you need to add Wifi to a computer. Also much easier to install than an internal Wifi card. The pop up antenna gives you a little more range and slightly better speed than a smaller USB adapter. The included USB extension cable with the mount is nice as well if you want to plug in to the back of a desktop but still have the unit sit on top of the tower or on your desk.

I purchased a new wireless router to be more compatible with my internet speeds and so I could hook more devices up wirelessly to the net. Purchased two of these, one for my sister in law's PC (she just moved in with us) and one for my old PC. Moved my old PC downstairs to the dining room and hooked up one of these wireless gizmos (50 feet from the new router). Works GREAT! Am surfing with great speed and no hic-ups. Ditto my sister in law who is only about 10 feet from the router. Glad I didn't have to drill a hole in the wall and hook up an actual cable in order to surf the net...

I use a Toshiba laptop running Windows 10 with Time Warner internet wireless connection. My download Mbps has always been very low, sometimes as low as 15 Mbps, never higher than 40-45. Because my plan called for a lot more Mbps, I had TWC technicians out several times, each time assuring me my TWC-provided Arris modem/router was getting adequate signal. The last technician suggested that the built-in adaptor was not adequate and recommender buying a new one . This Netgear adapter did the trick. Easy to install, now my MBPS is never lower than 110 Mbps, has been as high as 190.

My old Wi-Fi adapter stopped working. So I went to Best Buy, the sales rep was very helpful, recommended the Netgear adapter. I took it home, it was easy to set up, and it worked very well. Highly recommend it to others like me that are not "computer savvy."

Using an older desktop, I blamed all performance issues on my computer. My wireless adapter stopped working entirely and I bought the Netgear AC 1200 after asking a store employee for advice and giving him information on my internet provider. WIth this adapter, all the slow downloads and other issues are resolved. The problem was not my computer - it was my old, outdated and inadequate adapter. Excellent product, good price, huge return on the investment!

Needed a wireless adapter to connect my desktop to the internet and this works. Easy to set up, easy to use. Only issue I have is my computer would not recognize the adapter after awaking from it's sleep state. Since turning sleep mode off, no issues.

My computer did not recognize my routers 5Ghz signal. For this reason I bought this adapter. It connected to my existing without any problems and now I can stream great quality videos and also skype without any buffering or latency issues. Very good product.

Bought this for the cheap and weak computer at work. It needed to connect to the wireless BROTHER printer that was recently purchased. I was looking for dongles, but the store near me didn't carry any WiFi 'nubs'. I settled for this one, since I needed the connectivity ASAP. After nearly a month, it's worked perfectly with no hiccups. Setting it up was super easy. Just plug it in and run the CD software. My only real complaint is how expensive it is, and how big and cumbersome it is for my specific computer and it's placement. It juts out and takes up two USB slots, as the device itself takes up one, and the casing of the dongle takes up half of the adjacent USB port. Unfortunate. I'm quite pleased, but if you're looking into getting a WiFi dongle, look for the 'nubs' they're like 10-20 dollars. These dongles are still selling for 40 dollars.

It works, it's speedy, and much like the other Netgear devices of this form factor it doesn't fit well in the back due to overlap with other USB cables. When you use the extension cord it doesn't quite sit level.

I recently built a desktop computer and needed a wireless card. I originally put a PCI wireless card but it didn't perform too well. This Netgear USB wireless card receives my router signal one floor down in my basement with full signal strength.

I returned a pair of Netgear Powerline PLP2000s after not getting them to work consistently and decided to go back to wireless. My built in wireless card in my Dell 3250 desktop was only a B/G card but my Netgear router was A/C capable. After I enabled the 5GHZ network on the router this card connects to it with double the speed (60 MB) and gives me a stronger signal. You can not go wrong with this card. Highly recommend. Would give it 10 stars if I could!!!!!

I moved from a location with hardwired internet to somewhere I needed to use wifi for my PC. I wasn't going to buy a new motherboard and start over so I purchased this instead and plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and after the installation of the included drivers I was able to connect to my wifi network without issue. Speeds are good. I pay for 100mbps and at this location which is a few walls from my router I get decently close to it. I haven't had any issues with this wifi adapter. It works well and is a good price.
