I bought this for my laptop as the internal wifi adaptor kept dropping the connection. I already have a Netgear router so wanted a compatible product. It was easy to install with the supplied CD, although I believe you need to install the software before plugging in the adaptor. It has been working without problems for a few weeks now. No more dropped connections. Incredible speed compared to previously. My only complaint would be that it is quite large for a laptop, better suited to a desk top really.

The setup was almost literally plug and play. Tried to use the enclosed drivers and they failed to detect the adapter on a Windows 10 home system. However Windows and the system itself detected it and recognized it easily enough. After opening up the windows setup interface and verifying which network to attack to and then using the push to connect feature it was set up within 1 minute. So far it has never dropped its connection to the network.

This is the second Netgear USB WiFi antenna I have purchased in the past 4 years. Both worked great and offered fast, smooth and performance on a home pc that is approximately 30’ away from our router. Our son used the pc for gaming on WOW, Fortnite, Overwatch and more with no complaints about fps or connection issues. The only reason for a second purchase was error on my part in destroying the antenna when moving the computer by not paying attention.

I needed a new adapter since my old one was no longer supported by Windows 10 (after a year of using it with Windows 10, however!). This model was recommended to me by a Best Buy staffer. He said it was very good, and it also wasn't one of the more expensive ones. It does need one of those blue (higher speed) USB ports, so if your device doesn't have one, it won't work. That being said, I have had no problems with it, it works very well, and the optional holder is very nice and convenient. It works much better than my old one, which ever since I had it often needed to be "rebooted" (disconnected and re-connected), and I haven't needed to do that with this one at all since I got it (for about 3 months now).

Laptop would not pick up my 5G internet, but iPad would. Got the net gear and it now picks up the 5G signal. Runs 138megs speed and is super fast. Other laptop without NETGEAR around 50meg on the 2G Prob gonna get a 2nd one

This little gadget made my day!! I could not get my desk top to work without an Ethernet cable but my modem was too far away, so I purchased this Netgear wifi adapter and it did exactly what I bought it for!! It worked!!

Bought this for times I'm on the road and in a hotel trying to set up customer pcs. Or when I'm on site and don't have access to data yet. Plug this in, install drivers I have saved on a thumb drive, and turn on phones hotspot. good to go.

Combined with Nighthawk Dualband Gigabit. Incredibly fast Internet through concrete walls. Made online gaming amazing. However it is not set up to accept the new Windows

Pretty easy to install, run the CD, plug it in, and away you go....however, I have an ASUS ROG laptop and it wouldn't work plugged directly in the USB port. I had to use the docking stations in order for it to connect, doesn't make sense, but tried half a dozen times. In addition, once you close the laptop, it won't recognize it when boots up unless you unplug it and plug it back in. Pain in the rear. However, all that being said....MUCH faster than my older internal wireless NIC and lots less latency.

Recently, upgrade home WiFi to mesh supported AP. Most of the devices were fine but one older laptop keeps dropping the connection frequently. The latest AP claims that it has backward compatibility but maybe it doesn't mean 100%. So, after adding this for the old one, it works perfectly fine at this moment with this. The size is a bit bigger than expected but satisfies for performance perspective.

The set up and use of this device was easy. I appreciated the option to either plug it straight into a USB 3.0 port or to dock it and then place in another location and have a USB 3.0 cable lead from it to the PC.

Bought this to replace the internal wireless ac adapter that was not working on my dell inspiron. Plugged it in the usb and works better than the original.glad I did not have to open up my laptop.

Not much to review about this product aside from it has allowed an older computer without built in wifi to now have wifi. Its been running for a bit now with zero issues at all, works as expected.

This product was easy to install but a person needs to research their pc for a name assigned for networking. This task was a little tricky, but was able to navigate the directions after several tries. Overall the product has worked fine.

Never fails to connect. USB plugs into your computer anywhere you have an open spot. Be sure to read that you must install SOFTWARE FIRST, THEN PLUG IN USB CORD. I am using an older Dell OptiPlex 980 desktop computer with windows 10 professional and this antennae is about 60 feet away from the wireless gateway and router, and going through 4 walls. Never a problem with downloads or uploads.

Got this as my laptop adapter had a lot of driver issues. Since day one(about 30 days ago), it has been working flawlessly. I got it price matched based on the price in amazon, so all in all, its been totally worth it!

Little item comes handy, especially when setting up servers with no built in wifi

Great adapter for your average PC user and gamer. Very easy to set up and the software is very easy to use as well. The only problem I have come across was if you were multi tasking (for example downloading multiple items) the adapter will almost act as if it was over loaded and it would restart it self. I managed to fix this issue by changing the power options on the adapter so that the PC would not turn off the adapter in order to save power. But other than that it works great!

Contrary to some reviews, I had no issue with the installation. I downloaded from their website the latest software, which by the way is Windows 10 compliant. No issues with dropping connection.

My PC doesn't have a network card on it, but with this USB WiFi, I have an excellent connection and zero drops so far. I had another brand before and it had a hard time staying connected, but this worked very well.
