Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

I purchased this wireless card so that I could connect with my network after I upgraded to Windows 10. I am very satisfied with the product, and I have no problems using it on my Windows 10 computer.

For months I was having difficulties accessing the internet through my desktop PC. I could get into my network but not the internet, even though I could with my phone and tablets. Since purchasing the NETGEAR - AC1200 Wireless-AC High-Gain Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter, I have maintained consistent internet connection with the desktop. One thing to mention: my desktop had Windows 8 installed and is now running Windows 10. Some models, including mine, have had glitches accessing the internet after the upgrade. Adjustments were made in the registry and while using this NETGEAR product. Everything seems to be running smoothly so far.

I've been using LAN connections most of my life, but with my recent move, needing a wireless adapter made it more beneficial to have. I like how this uses Netgear Genie, to show what speeds I'm connecting to and also makes it easier to manage my connections. Also if I feel that I'm "lagging" I can notice how my service provider is dropping my speeds as well.

I bought this product because I wanted to move my desktop computer to a different room without having to call my internet provider to set up a new location. I was able to connect to the internet right away.

Seems to work just fine, however it is very bulky, it seems as though in 2015 there has got to be tech that cam make this alot less bulky and not stick out as much and foe 60.00, the profit margin must be great

It worked well but it needs to be put no top of the computer or desk for optimum reception and the dog kept knocking it over as it walked by so I'm just gonna get an internal card instead.

I bought this and it was easy enough to set up. It didn’t work however because it said the wireless network was too far away. Beings it was only one room away, I returned it to the store.

Parents computer wifi card was going out...getting only about 1-2mbps of a 50mbps service. Using this Netgear AC1200 usb wifi adapter helped them get back to the speed they should be getting.

I left it plugged in when I upgraded to Win10. My computer wouldn't boot up until I unplugged it. I also had to restart again before the drivers would work. But now it works perfectly again.

This does the job. Only thing that bothers me is the size of the thing. Luckily it has a usb cable attached so i dont have to worry about having it stuck to my laptop when using it. The drawback there is having to pull around a huge pen drive looking thingy attached to your laptop by a usb cable. This would work perfectly for desktops that have an older network card which dont recognize the 5.8 gz band

So far so good as the network is connected and haven't had any trouble with connectivity. Only thing that is negative is that it is so wide I can't fit anything into the USB port next to it.

The device itself worked great, when it worked. The software from Netgear had issues from the first install. As soon as I installed the software, I began to get the "Blue Screen of Death." The error code came up as "Bad Pool Header." I tried to download the latest drivers direct from Netgear, but still got the BSOD. Uninstalled the software and hard wired internet and haven't had any issues since. I'm running Windows 7. I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk wireless router and typically don't have any issues with Netgear products, but this one would be better once they fix the drivers.

It took a while for my computer to recognize it but after it was installed properly it worked like a charm. This adapter really helped because my computer’s WiFi adapter is too old to work anymore. It’s very easy to use by just plugging into a USB, the only physical flaw I found was that when extended, it’s very clunky and you will need to take care not to accidentally bump it. Other than that, it’s great!
