Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

This was my backup choice, originally wanted the nighthawk version, but it sold. Either way! Have been enormously impressed by this adapter. I work remotely, nighthawk router is downstairs. And I’m averaging about 133 mbps. Perfect for work. As a side note, you aren’t required to download or install any of Netgears bloat ware, it’s literally plug and play. So no IT concerns for workstations.

This wireless adapter is easy to set up and use. Only drawback is that you sometimes need to refresh the software to get the wireless adapter to connect with the in-house wireless network.

This adapter works well and is extremely fast. Using it with a Linksys 1900wrtAC. The only drawback is its size. It's very big. I would recommend for desktops. I would think twice for a laptop.

Be careful when picking this up. The included software would not install on Windows 10. Thankfully the OS was able to find and load drivers on its own. Works fine now that Windows figured out what the included software could not.

I was worried that at the other end of the house I would not get good wifi signal with this. But in conjunction with the corresponding Netgear beam forming wireless router we have, this gives my lonely office desktop at the opposite side of the house extremely fast surfing and downloading speeds.

I worked at a non-profit in which we helped set up gaming PCs for veterans. I would travel to their home with custom built PCs and set up the rigs. However, most gamers use ethernet ports rather than a WiFi due to latency and lag issues. However, this particular veteran's home would not allow us to move the Modem nor did he want to run a 40foot ethernet cable through his home. I purchased this on the fly to get him connected to play online etc. This adapter has worked flawlessly, easy to set up (with no disc needed), and showed practically ZERO latency issues.

I think the use cases for a USB WIFI device are very limited. In my case I didn't want to purchase a PCI-E card, which would be a better (less conspicuous) way to go for a desktop. I needed WIFI for my desktop without any reasonable way to go wired (stringing ethernet cable across the floor). The router (XFinity specialf) is in another room. There is one wall separating, about 20 feet. I pay for up to 100 Mbps down/5 Mbps up. Speedtest.net results at 7:43pm on a Friday night: ping 14ms, 94.34 Mbps down/6 Mbps up 7:43pm. I can't complain. No issue for 30 days. I run Windows 10 64-bit Home Edition. It works.
