Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

I needed a USB wifi adapter to be able to access 5Ghz instead of the slower 2.4Ghz I was limited to by the wifi interface on some older laptops that I was ready to retire yet. This was the solution and a good one too! No issues and faster speed! Simple to setup for anyone

    Solves my Windows 10 problem

Many people who upgraded to windows 10 complained about their old wifi card dropping out. Their are numerous supposed fixes on the web. I tried for about two weeks and threw in the towel. I purchased this card for ease of upgrade, compatibility with my high end cisco router and portability should I upgrade my system at a later date. I must say this worked seamlessly. The Windows 10 drop problem gone. Also, by upgrading to this model I increased my homes efficiency with using the 5G band leaving the lower band for my other wifi connected devices.

I used the older USB 2.0 version of this wireless adapter. But this gives me excellent connection - My gateway router is on the other side of the house and the USB 3.0 connection to my 1TB HD is the best I have had.

This was a no brainer, just plug and play. We operate a peer to peer net work in our CPA office and since switching to this brand, the network has performed more or less flawlessly. Good product, easy to install and set up, and very fast performance.

This has a long range and strong signal. My router is in the basement and my computer is on the second floor. Even with that distance the signal is about as strong as you can ask for.

Easy and dependable as PnP, but the software is surprisingly functional without draining the system. It doubled the speed of my WIFI connection without any other hardware upgrades. No glitches in almost a month of gaming and video streaming.

I live in an RV Park with WiFi included in my rent. Prior to purchasing this product I was having problems with a dropped signal way too frequently. I bought the NETGEAR - AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender Wall Plug, and it was a waste of my time. After failing to improve my signal (it actually did nothing positive at all) I took the NETGEAR - AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender Wall Plug back to Best Buy and then tried the NETGEAR - AC1200 Wireless-AC High-Gain Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter - Black. Lets just say it made me happy! The improvement in my signal reception was dramatic. It was also a lot easier to install than the Rang Extender. I originally thought the NETGEAR - AC1200 Wireless-AC High-Gain Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter was a bit pricey, but after using it without any dropped connections for a couple of months I decided it was worth it.

    Needs better setup documentation

I'm an IT specialist with 15 years experience. I chose the A6210 for my desktop Win10 PC after considerable research. The A6210 edged out the Linksys AC1200 because Netgear includes a USB cable with desktop dock. TP-Link reviews were not as good as Netgear or Linksys. Bottom Line, the Netgear A6210 works great. However, setup was a bit frustrating, so hang in there. Firstly, don't bother to use the outdated Netgear installation CD that came in the box. The boxed CD does not function well with Windows 10. The CD installation software, repeatedly failed to reach Netgear's software update download server. And, the CD install software would not recognize the A6210 adapter when plugged into my USB3 port. Instead, download the updated Setup-V1.0.0.36.exe software from http://support.netgear.com . Other than that, I'm happy with the A6210. My connection speed increased from 77Mbps to 866Mbps. Not bad at all. BTW, you'll need to use any brand AC router to reach the full speed potential of an AC adapter. See attached photo of the A6210 adapter connected to the 'desktop dock' via usb3 cable. Cheers!

    Perfect for Xbox One Streaming

As I have mentioned in many of my reviews, I have a metal workshop in my backyard where I spend much of my time. Now that Xbox One supports game streaming, I wanted to get in on that action. Sadly, my old WiFi adapter just couldn't cut it. Once I installed this, which took all of 4 minutes, I was good to go. I can now stream my Xbox One to my computer in my workshop (which is outside, made of metal, and at least 120 feet from my router) with ease. I highly recommend this if you have a router capable of 5G signals.

Have used this adapter for months now, basically plug and play. I never needed to fiddle or troubleshoot this netgear wifi adapter. It has always maintained a confident connection with my home network. The times when i did have an issue with wifi connection and thought it may have been the adapter, it wasnt (was actually the router). Great inexpensive adapter, would definitely recommend.

I purchased two of these for my teenage sons to use in their gaming desktops. They work with our AC router. If wireless is your only option for gaming, these work well.

comes with software for installation, only takes a few minutes. easy to use and quite fast. would prefer that it wasnt a stand along device and could just plug directly into a port and not be seen in the back of a large tower.

Works well, has a good range of connectivity (through a couple of walls in the house) and speed wise does the job. Dock is a nice additional feature if you do not have much room behind your computer/ want to see connection status easily.

Learn to love your old laptop again!

By now, after years of switching ISPs and learning, through trial and error, that I'd never receive the promised speeds on the brochures, I was quick to blame my connection when my laptop stopped loading web pages. It couldn't be the fact that the thing is a dinosaur and is still running Vista, could it? Never: Windows is indestructible! A quick Google search of related issues alerted me to the fact that, just maybe, my laptop's wireless card had just simply stopped responding. The fix? A thumb-drive like gadget, plugged into a USB port, that would reconnect me in a heartbeat. Why not just buy a new laptop, you ask? I did; what I wanted was to reconnect the old one so that I could continue to use it for when I didn't want to mess up the new one with garbage ads and other malware. A Best Buy employee recommended this Netgear job to me, and I thought, 'What the heck! What can I possibly lose?' He was right. It worked--and it's oddly faster than my laptop's native hardware. Moral of the story: This is a great little purchase. I recommend it.

I bought this to add 5ghz capability to my desktop which only came with a 2.3 ghz wireless card. It's very easy to install using the included software disc and takes a matter of minutes on my windows 10 system. This USB adapter antenna is pretty good giving me a moderate signal from a router (about 40 or so feet away) The 5ghz signal increased the speed of my internet by quite a lot over the stock 2.3ghz wireless card and I am very happy with the purchase.

let me start off the review with this product works great. No hassle with drivers and such. I will say that it is rather bulky. If you don't mind it sticking out four inches from your tower or laptop, this is the product for you.

I have 125 download speed at my house when i'm connected via ethernet. And I still get 75-85 via wifi through this. I didn't expect 75-85 i was just expecting around 40-60. But this has been solid and extremely easy to use.
