I have purchased many external WiFi devices over the years. In my job, I enjoy the opportunity to "play", evaluate and select equipment to solve specific issues. Recently, I had an UltraBook device that wouldn't maintain a consistent WiFi connection with a 802.11n/ac WAP. Research showed the WiFi card in the UltraBook device was a known issue. All else was good with the UltraBook, so we opted to purchase the Netgear adapter vs. replacing/updating the UltraBook. Life is now good. What an inexpensive solution! Highly recommend the USB 3.0 AC1200.

My Comcast wireless net speeds in Dec. 2018 was down to dial up snail speed for some unexplained reason even though I'm paying for Extreme 300 MB. I bought this WiFi adapter arriving 1 day after it was shipped from Best Buy. Now the wireless speed has increased many times up to 280 MB. It still fluctuates from 85-275 but it's a huge improvement instead of replacing the Comcast cable modem. A great inexpensive solution to slow wireless on a 6 year old still very functional laptop.

This is the one to buy. Nice compact size can be set up multiple ways. Fast speeds easy set up.

I live in an older historical home and my internet service was not the best until I purchased this item. My NETGEAR USB delivers high quality and fast internet service in those hard to reach places. Thanks NETGEAR for making my life easier.

Exactly what was needed to bring internet to my old laptop. We are wireless and my laptop was the only one in the house that could not connect, plugged this in the back of computer..ran the cd install and have had no problem connecting anymore.

Bought this to replace another AC adapter made by a competitor to see if my connection problems was with my router or the adapter. I have a laptop in a detached garage about 20 feet from my house. The Netgear Nighthawk router is mounted in the middle of my home so the total distance is about 45 feet from the router. Plus interior walls and block and brick on the detached garage. Signal strength was very minimal to say the least with the old one but with this AC adapter I now have FULL signal strength. Highly recommend this adapter

Easy to setup. The instruction was very easy to follow. The wifi connection speed is as advertised. I am very satisfied with this product.

Works as discribed. Like the ability to have it directly in the computer or set away on the desk. A little bigger than I'd like but it works great.

very easy to set up and use. works well with my netgear ac router. has good range and works as it should. i would for sure recommend.

Great connection speed. The only issue I've noticed if from time to time is if you leave the computer on for an extended period untouched the signal is lost and the computer wont show the device. You simply unplug it and plug it back in and you're good to go.

I installed the NETGEAR - AC1200 Wireless Adapter while a Comcast technician was updating a Comcast modem for me. My computer was on the other side of the house, 3 rooms away and he thought the download time was the fastest he had ever seen.

The Netgear AC1200 was very easy to setup and performed quite well. Improved my throughput and gave me consistent throughput over my old adapter. Got it for the dual band feature and the included high-gain antenna.

Went to best buy because the laptop stopped receiving wifi email at my hotel that could not find the problem Needed a quick fix and best but came through with the geek squad tech. Simple. Just now plug in laptop and great reception.

This thing is a gem! I love that it connect as a dongle or as separate antenna when needed–something that's a huge help to me when working from home and I need to relocate away from the kids that happens to be far from the router. No worries here, the NETGEAR AC1200 keeps on cranking. Extremely fast. No reliability issues. After coming from a (terrible) experience with an ASUS WIFI adapter, I couldn't be happier.

I procrastinated over a year before finally installing this adapter due to feedback on bugs with the A6210 driver. I finally bit the bullet and seamlessly installed version 39 of the driver as standalone, without incident. Performance on my three year old all-in-one desktop is excellent, with double the speed of the old b/g/n adapter. My router is a Netgear AC1750.

Product works like a charm. Easy solution to adapt wireless capacity to older equipment. Give 4 stars only because install was not seamless

Product worked great. Bought it for a desktop on the 2nd floor of townhouse, router on 1st floor. Signal was great and got expected speeds.

This is a very inexpensive item that works great. So easy to install and then it works with no further maintenance or adjusting.

Works well, our system is downstairs and this works on the second floor and even out in the yard. Great range and speed.
