    Before purchasing the Wireless-AC High-Gain Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter I was not sure if I would be able to access the internet without a router but the AC1200 came to my rescue. The AC1200 allowed me a great connection to my social media and email accounts, endless hours of online researching and access to my online video games. Thank you NETGEAR for making this product and BESTBUY for selling it.

    I purchased this as an alternative to hard wiring my non wireless (old) computer to the house router when I relocated it to a different floor in the house. After repeated attempts to load the software failed, I decided to reboot the computer, and voila, the signal strength indicator appeared, and it was maxed! I haven't had any trouble since. Much easier than snaking 50+ feet of cable through the wall!

    However, you should download the latest driver from Netgear website before uninstalling your current version. The one that comes on the provided disk doesn't work

    An old computer works perfectly gave us Wi-Fi we had an old computer we wanted to get it working again we pulled out the tower we hooked it up we realized that we have to plug it in but that was not an option because there was no plug to the cable to be able to work the computer so we were able to use Wi-Fi

    Works great. You need a computer with a CD-ROM drive to get it started. My Mac doesn't have one so I have to bust out the old PC. Maybe a little more trouble than it's worth.

    I live about 4 houses (rambler house) down from my sister and connecting to their wifi is better then having to pay 2 internet bills or walking to their house to use internet. The distance goes far. I highly reccommend for those of you who live close to family and don't want to stack bills.
