    BEWARE Of The "Warranty"

Router stopped working after 7 months. Troubleshooting pointed towards a defective WAN port. To get "warranty service" you must call the technical support number...........and after a few minutes of questions from the support person I am told, "ok, to proceed any further I need to verify a credit card number. If we cannot get the device working we will send you a replacement, but if we get the device working you will be charged $90". That's a greedy string attached to a 1-year defective device replacement warranty.

wifi connection regularly dropped off at 10 feet. After several weeks trying to resolve with netgear they decided product was defective. Netgear will replace if I pay shipping and can wait 2 weeks. Otherwise they charge $50 to overnight a replacement. Best Buy wouldn't help at all because it is past 15 days. This $95 router is costing significantly more than I bargained for in time and money. I should have bought at Costco. Other than the product was ultimately defective, it did have nice features.

The only issue was the initial router was defective and I have to return and get a new one. Once set up it has performed to my expectations. I am pleased.

I bought this router because TWC has refurbished and defective equipment, not to mention TWC misleading service. This router had helped some with a more reliable wifi connection, but TWC service is horrible, suppose to have 200 Mbps but best I get is 30mbps. But this is better than before with TWC equipment w/ 10mbps at best.

I first purchased this router and it was defective. I had to return it for another and the setup went smoothly. This router is awesome and the range is good too. I really like the fact that it is a dual band router and I get every bit of the speed I am supposed to with this router.

Took 4 days to get everything right. Ended up that the router was defective out of the box. The second one was up and running in about 20 minutes. Works great.

Works well. First router was defective, however.

Originally ordered a lesser model, which proved to be defective. Returned it to Best Buy without resistance. No more in stock so bought next higher model (AC1750) which works well. Installed it on a timer to reduce radiation while sleeping.

I like Netgear and had high hopes when I purchased this router. First thing I noticed was during setup the router software does not allow much control, but my problem was with the wifi. It had a good signal but speed would drop 95-110 to 30-35 after two or three hours and have to reboot to get speed back up. Checked for updates and checked settings. May have just been a defective unit, but after a week of no improvement , I returned it and got a different brand.

This is one of the best routers I have owned as of this point in time. It has been defect and issue free for the 6 or so months that I have owned it. It spreads WiFi throughout my house magnificently - where my last wireless router would barely reach my master bedroom in the back of the house, this router provides an excellent wireless signal. The software is intuitive and easy to use. Netgear provides a solid little application you can installed called Netgear Genie that makes setting up your wireless experience a breeze for those who are inexperienced or don't have the patience to sort through all of the options that modern routers provide in order to set up a secure, functional wireless ecosystem in your home.

I will be bringing this product back to your store either today or, most definitely, tomorrow. It lasted a mere two (2) weeks. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with NetGear when they finally determined the router is defective. I have original box and parts and want an exchange. Robert D. Grundfast, Esq.
