It is easy to set up and performance is consistent.

I was fonna give it 3 stars due to coverage gaps, however I was like I was the idiot that didn't read the sq ft and device count or I did read it and didn't trust it. TRUST IT, I have a 3000 soft house and it crushes the upstairs but my farther reaching devices like Master Bedroom TV and Caneras on that side of the house coverage is a bit questionable. I had to purchase an extender to be able to stream and shows. So if your house pr apt is larger than 1500sq or you have more than 25 devices spend the money on a better Router. Other than that (which again was my fault) the Router is a great router has a great app that helps you see what is on your network and allows you to put in friendly names to help track what is talking. I do wish it had a tool to see traffic per device that would help find the chatty devices on the network and rouge AP support would be nice but great router for the money and advertised sq ft.

Great wireless router for medium sized homes. Much better than my previous N Belkin router.

It is a better router than the one I got from Cox. It allows me to setup a file server with my external drive to play everywhere. Yet it remains secure. A good choice.

the best one i have ever had very fast easy set up

I needed a quality Wi-Fi router to work with the modem my ISP has given me and that it can handle the speeds that we need, specifically for video streaming and the occasional online game. So far, we haven't noticed any issues, except for when streaming YouTube, on occasion, there is buffering (I think it's the device we are using has issues). For what my needs are and the size of my home, this works well for what I need.

First, and most importantly UPDATE FIRMWARE! Do it yesterday. Check Netgear's website for info. Now, on to the review... Highly recommended, but only if you know your way around networking. This is my third 802.11ac router and I think I finally have a keeper. Much better stability and range than either my Apple Airport Extreme or Linksys wrt1900ac. The only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is that the user interface is, by far, the worst of the three.

I love these Netgear routers, the R6400, R6700 and up. I have owned several of these units and have never had an issue with any of them. Setup is a breeze, and the built in OpenVPN service is a gigantic plus. This allows you to be away from home, and connect to your home network with ease. It will assign you an IP address from the DHCP pool allowing you to login to services that would normally only be obtainable via LAN. A great tool to have with any network.

This router works extremely well. The dual band is great and with my newly installed FIOS service this router is perfect. It replaced the more expensive router FIOS tries to sell you.

It was nice but TWC modem did not like it all so I messed with the settings and broke it so I returned it and exchanged it for a different router but this one did good till I broke it
