This router has a firmware problem where the internet will periodically stop. You have to unplug the hardware and plug back in to start again. However, once you update or perform a factory reset, that fixes the problem. After that, it appears to be a good router. I talked to someone else that has this router and they said after the reset, no problems after 3 years. Customer Service hung up on me the first call. I called back and waited 30 minutes on the phone. When I did speak to a CSR, they were hard to understand. They appeared to have little patience.

This router was a great deal. I live in a apartment and have a family of 5 always connected at the same time. It can handle anything. We are always streaming videos all the time. No lag and awesome range. I never loose connection.

Perfect router to get WIFI across the entire 1200 sq ft apartment. provides excellent speed at the farthest reaches of the bedroom, while having a bunch of Ethernet ports for hard-wiring my TV and PS4. Perfect router for anyone who doesnt need or want a mesh wifi system. Buy this for speed, reliability, and ease of setup!

Simple straight forward setup with an online dashboard that lets you adjust settings securily on line. Range extender included was a pro-bono as if you live in a large house with interferences between floors. Has met all my expectations and appreciate Best Buy staff recommending over other purchase I was pondering, of which would not have been the best the best option.

Great router, been loving the performance and range on it

I purchased this router, based upon the recommendations of one of the sales staff to replace an older Apple router that had begun to have problems. This router was very easy to set up and the connections are solid. My house is quite large and the router is on the upper floor in a corner office. The connection is a bit week on the bottom floors but it fine for my needs. Good router and worth the money.

So far I'm very pleased with my Netgear router. I have been a Linksys fan for many many years but the reviews convinced me to try this brand. I noticed that most people are complaining about signal drop of routers with the 2.5 g. I've had mine a couple months now and it seems to be working great. I haven't noticed any signal drop with either band or with interference from any of my neighbor's Wireless Systems
