I had a minor problem during installation because I left halfway through and had to start over when I came back, but besides that it has worked exactly as expected. No issue while streaming HD video, handles my PlayStation Vue tv stream flawlessly, and the signal is great. Definitely recommend it for medium sized homes that has older devices keeping them from going 100% AC for the wifi signal.
On the downside, the lights are bright so Make sure you can install in a room that won't disturb you with the lights running at night.

New router for new home

Had to replace my old N900 router. Love netgear and sales associate helped me with new purchase. This allows for better coverage and with a teenager on her phone all the time, need to ensure we have enough bandwidth. Solid product, and the guest network set up allows me to put her friends on that one too

This is a great router for a network illiterate person like me. I connected it behind a 2wire 3600 gateway and it extended my wireless range significantly. Very easy to setup using the provided Genie program. I highly recommend this router.

Replaced a six year old Linksys. No comparison. Very easy to install. Great range. Covers all rooms in a 2700 square foot, two story house. Am very pleased with it's performance.

Bought this to replace an old router in an office. The new router has enough range to cover the entire floor. Easy set up - great speeds. Highly recommend.

The 2.4GHz band (802.11 b/g/n) has a good range through walls. 5GHz band supports higher rates (802.11ac/n) but does not have a great range through walls which is expected. So this is like 2 modems in one box! Yet have to test the USB share feature. Never gave me a problem. Quick setup. I'm satisfied.

I purchased this router to get wifi connections to my phone, computer, and 2 tvs. I have a small apartment, so I do not need a large range. I get strong wifi signal everywhere within my space.

We just moved into my house. We decided on AT&T for our internet and phone service. (no way I was giving up my Directv!) They put the route in the metal box the builder provided my WiFi was awful. The installer told me to go buy this router. No looking back getting over 80 mps wired and 50+ wireless.

This item performs almost as expected. The coverage is great but the actual speed is not quite as I expected from reading the specs. At the modem I get around 60 mbps but through wireless I get around 40 mbps. Expected at least 50 mbps. But overall, good buy, I would suggest it to anyone who wants improved coverage and good speed.

Great Router for Multiple Devices

This router was purchased to replace an old router. The old router did not have an antenna. The old router could not support all our devices (at least 9) more if people had friends coming over. Sometimes when a device needed to re-connect the old router needed to be unplugged. Don't think we have had to unplug this new router once since we got it.
This router has three antennas. I have not noticed any increase in speed. Nor have I checked how far the range of the WiFi goes. It does seem better for online gaming, but it's hard to tell if it's you or the other person lagging. This router is suppose to be "optimized for smooth HD streaming & gaming".
You can set up a USB printer to the router. That is a good feature if you have multiple devices you need to print from.
We have not tried this but you can also set up a guest network. Another good feature if you have people coming over and don't want them knowing your WiFi password.
Overall this is a great router if you have multiple devices in your home.

Since we switched internet providers, we decided to get our own modem and router to avoid paying those ridiculous "leasing" fees. Very happy with this router. Easy to see up thanks to the app (although it did take us two tries). Strong signal. Before our wifi would die in the driveway, but now that's not an issue. It's a little bigger than expected and the indicator lights are extremely bright- so if the router is in a place people may sleep, that could be an issue, but you can always just cover the lights.

i bought this modem to replace the TP-LINK AC1750/Archer C7 that had got killed by the power surge. While the signal strength is a bit better than that of TP-LINK, I have had to restart it every week to maintain the signal. I rarely did this with TP-LINK. Other than this issue, this router has met my need.

This Netgear is easy to set up, and the range is honestly much better than I expected. Throughput speed seems great for video HD streaming, no bottlenecks here.

I read a lot of reviews of different routers and this one was constantly near or at the top of every review I read. I'm not techie so I was pleased it was simple to set up and it resolved the Wifi issues I had been having with my old router. I highly recommend this router.
