After having unresolvable problems with my d-link router for several months I decided it was time to upgrade. Read several reviews and talk to salespeople and the Geek Squad, both recommended the Netgear. After installing and connecting everything life is pleasant again. My signal strength coverage is about twice as good as before and even have great coverage in the backyard. Great speed and after a month not one glitch, I would not hesitate suggesting this router to anyone. Also I mounted this upside down on the bottom side of my desk so I lost no space.

It has solved the issue of interference with neighbors WIFI signal. Now I can work with out network dis connectivity. Can work remotely getting connected to office LAN without any issue. It has a Dual Core processor, and is probably a bit faster PROS: +Wireless AC connection is just as fast as wired within about a 20 foot radius +Wireless N at 5 Ghz reduces interference in heavy wifi saturated areas such as multi unit buildings +Simultaneous Dual Band and backwards compatibility gives you flexibility for choosing further range, less crowded frequencies, and support for older devices. +Can connect quite a few devices with no hit to performance or interruptions. +Solid reliability so far +Took 5 minutes to setup everything CONS: -Being new, it's fairly expensive when compared to competing routers and discounts are not prevalent. -This thing is HUGE! If you're used Netgear's legacy products, you may need to make room for this. -Horizontal orientation or wall mount only make this more difficult to find room for on shelves. -While the bright white status lights look cool, they could be a real annoyance in a bedroom at night. The bottom line here is that if you have products that support Wireless AC or plan to future proof, this router could be great for you. If you don't have a super fast Internet connection or have devices that only support Wireless N or lower, you might be better off spending half as much and getting a high quality Wireless N router.

New Cable subscriber, switching over from Directv. Read reviews online from several sites, including BB. I don't know much about routers, but felt I had enough info to make an informed purchase. I hooked this up myself, and it was very easy. I'm no techie, but I can follow directions. That part is very important. When the manual says to not power it up until a certain point, make sure you listen and follow the instructions. As for the router itself, it's been incredible. I don't know much about the difference between 2.4 and 5.0, but I use 5.0 and it's range is great. I walked to my neighbor's house to test it, and while inside his house, about 80 yards, I had a strong connection to the router. I had one instance when I lost connection. Not sure what it was from, but it was a quick reset. I've owned this for about a month. Not sure if that's long enough to rate the router, but comparing to my DSL router from Verizon, this thing is incredible.

I bought this router after doing a lot of research online. Setup was the easiest I've encountered (and I've done a few) using the Netgear Genie. The interface was simple to understand and the software worked great. It also gives you a good map of your network and has some other useful features. The router has great speed and range with the dual bands and I'm happy with it so far.

Replacing a D-Link after just one year I decided to go with another brand. I didn't want to go with a Nighthawk because they cost more and will eventually fail too. I considered going with the model one step lower but got this one because it theoretically has a greater range and I live in a really big house. Setup was way easier than the last 2 D-Links but setting up my cameras with a static IP did take me a while to figure out as the instructions weren't very clear. Less technical folks with basic needs will be fine doing a simple setup. Ultimately I am very happy with the range and stability. All of the issues I had with my previous D-Link AC router are gone and that's all I wanted.

This router is easy to set up and has very good speed and range. The only problem I seem to be having is that it needs to be reset once or twice a week. Whenever it falls offline I am able to connect directly through the LAN with no problem. In fairness to Netgear, I have only basic knowledge of setting up a home network and have not yet contacted customer service to see if there is a way to optimize the router and fix this issue. Overall I am happy with this product, but I am not sure if everyone would feel the same way.

I was getting a new ISP, and the rep said to try the Net Gear AC1750 since had extra USB ports for TV, PC etc and it holds speeds well. Ok I tried it and it was the easiest hook up and set up I have ever had. ATT had a much more complicated process ( my reason for the new ISP!). It worked with a 94% signal. I just downloaded 40 movies in about 30 minutes into my UV account. And I'm covered for 2 years since I bought the Geek squad Protection plan. If it goes bad I turn it in to ANY Best Buy and walk out with a new one.

Ordered this router with hesitation as most reviews I saw appeared to have been from people that received them for free from Netgear to boost review ratings. I am glad I tried it anyway. Super Super easy to setup and get on the web right away. No more disconnections and having to reboot the router like my old linksys router. Speeds are noticeably faster and streaming videos have little to no buffering. Definitely recommend so far, time will tell if it holds up and is durable.

This router drastically improved the performance of our broadband in our home (range and speed) over our old netgear single band router. It was easy to setup and use and at a better price point than the higher end models. The only negative: It is a bit large.

If you're looking for something that's easy to setup and handle ton of devices at once, including watching movies, streaming or gaming at a fair price? Then look no further. Along with that, you get downloadable software to further customize or control who and when access is allowed. When the kids are home and you're not, to prevent unintended access, it's as easy as picking up your cellphone and denying or allowing access. Coverage is good with no dead zone that I've experienced so far in a large home. Speeds are as fast as your provider will allow. LED's indicate what's working and what's not working to narrow down any problems experienced. So don't think twice, it's worth it.

I bought this to replace my ATT wifi that came with Uverse. What a diffrence. The range works through out my whole house (I have a 2600 sq ft ranch) so it sprawls out. With the stock ATT one I had many dead spots. This works into my yard even. The speeds seem great although I haven't tested the difference with any tools I have noticed that everything streams easier now. I have a Homerun HD hooked up to an over the air antenna and the feed was always choppy before. Now it streams great through my TV's. There's a ton of options that I will never use or understand. I has it set up as just an access point for awhile and found that super easy to do. Later I was able to reset the whole thing in seconds and get it running back as a router in minutes. Would recommend to this to a friend for sure.

The last two routers I've purchased were Netgear and they served me well so I decided to go with them yet again. Previously I've used the N600s and appreciated their small footprint and good signal. My thought was that I have added a lot of smart home devices so maybe I should up my game and get a more robust router. The AC1750 does everything I need it to. Setup is quick and efficient. Maybe that's because I've used other Netgear products but I believe anyone with the ability to read and follow instructions should be able to get it up and running. That being said if you are not at all familiar with the basics of router security you may want to have someone who does come help you. Nothing sadder than someone getting their home network hacked because they left all the defaults on their device. My only complaint is that, by comparison, it is enormous. I realize the intended purpose of the Nighthawk series is for gaming and you need a significant chunk of electronics to do that. I think it looks really cool as it resembles a Empirical Star Destroyer. But there is virtually no way you can have this is a room without it being noticeable. I guess you could put it under a box or something but that would be weird too. Add to that the bright LEDs on the top and you definitely notice it. Fine if your hosting your game clan, but I would prefer it to be a little less obvious. Not suggesting a change but just stating my opinion. Overall I think this is one of the best routers you can buy. If you are wanting to connect more than five or six devices, stream video and automate your house this one will do it.

I wouldn't pay more for this router than what I did. I paid $105 out the door. Not because it isn't a good router but once you get into the $135-140 range there are better routers available so find this one on sale. At $105 there isn't much that can top the features, ease of use, reliability and coverage of this unit. I am using it as an AP and disabled the router functions. The setup is a breeze and the app us great for testing the performance and optimal placement of the unit. I have the router in an 1100 Sq ft 50s Era bungalow. It is in the living room. I get coverage all the way to the middle of my garage in my backyard at 45mbps 2.4ghz and 25mbps 5ghz. This is a signal going through plaster walls, plumbing, cast iron drain pipes, a bathroom and a bedroom. In the room with the router i see averages of 250mbps and 600mbps respectively. There isn't a spot in my house the wireless doesn't reach. It allowed me to eliminate my extender in the complete opposite corner of my house in the basement for my printer. I have only reboot it once in the time ive owned it and I'm not even sure I had too but did so after a reboot of all of my equipment after a cable outage.

It was either this or the ASUS RT-AC68R but there was a $60 price difference and I needed to save that extra money. As such, I pulled the trigger on this Netgear router because of the cost difference and I've had good luck with previous, lower-end Netgear routers. So far, this has made a huge difference. We run a PS4, Android TV, 2 PCs, and 5 mobile devices on this router, and it handles all of them with ease. I'm also a heavy downloader, and when I download large content, my sons' online gaming no longer lags. We can actually download large content, watch YouTube Red, and online game with no interference or lag. The only thing I've noticed is the bandwidth on the 2.4GHZ band is less than the 5GHZ band. The only reason this is currently unfortunate is because about half the devices in my house still don't handle 5GHZ and the range is much better on the 2.4GHZ band. That said, this is the best 5GHZ band range I've gotten from any router. May it also be known, I live in a 3,100 SQ Foot house and this router easily covers that from the 1st floor entertainment room. Good buy and I'd recommend, especially at this price point.
