An Ap is needed to complete the set-up. In an area where Cell phone coverage is limited, being required to download an ap to complete the install was problematic. Hardware setup was breeze. Unit provides the necessary coverage for a good sized ranch home with sufficient power to reach from upstairs into the far end of the basement.

I've had this router for a couple weeks now and I've had no issues to speak of and the signal strength is much improved over my old N300 series because it works at the far end of my house where as my old one would constantly disconnect. As far as speed goes this one seems to keep up with my ISP as far as I can tell so that's a positive also.

I wanted to have a faster router than the one from time warner. When I discovered I could set this up and still use my time warner phone I was sold.

We needed to upgrade to a router that could handle at least 10 devices. This has worked out great for us! Very easy to install - and our speeds are much faster. Plus we are no getting kicked off the internet if everyone is on at the same time. We aren't particularly tech savvy so this router worked out well for us. We are pleased so far.

The setup is easy and straightforward, and lets me use the guest mode for devices I do not want on my regular network. Even set at 50% radio strength it covers my one-storey 1600 sq ft house with no problem. I rate it four stars because if it is like past Netgear routers i have had, it will die in two years almost to the day. As I say in my suymmary: time will tell.

Overall, this router definitely gives the performance that you would want at its price point. This router sits upstairs in a two-story house and there are no dead spots anywhere with great speeds. This was definitely an upgrade as it holds up with 5 college students using the internet constantly to stream, game, and browse the internet.

This is my go to router. I have purchased this router 2 separate times because it’s decently priced and fits my needs of wireless communications. It has lasted me all through college and when it broke from a dropping accident, I purchased another because you can’t beat the speeds. It’s great for school, work, and even gaming.

Completely solved my home WiFi problem...instantly! Once I connected this router to my cable modem, I went from 30mbps to 100mbps wirelessly throughout my entire townhouse ! I have not experienced any buffering or dropped wifi issues since I installed this router. I highly, highly recommend this product!

I had to upgrade our router so this was the recommendation of the sales person. It was a really easy setup and has worked flawlessly.

Best routerI have purchased yet. Easy to setup, I haven't had any connection issues. Most routers you have pointe were they slow down or lose signal. Not with this one.

Easy to install has good range but I still have a NEXGEAR extender.Only problem is takes up to much room should have it standing up.

Frequent freezing and dropping of wireless connections are no longer an issue with this upgrade from the Netgear 7550 provided by my ISP. A huge speed increase for newer devices having hardware compatible with the latest WiFi standards... Smartphones included! I devoted at least one hour to explore and intelligently set or disable features. So far my only gripe is GUI related. I have yet to find a router that has a satisfying user interface and this model is no exception. Adequate yes. Just not satisfying personally. Overall I am happy with this purchase . Despite the gripe I consider this model a good value.

I bought this router to replace an outdated Apple router. The difference is incredible! Taking full advantage of my internet connection feels good. It handles all our household devices with ease and without any slowdown. The range is outstanding! Super easy to set up. Very happy with my purchase and recommendation by the Best Buy employee.

This thing is working just fine. It has quick simple setup, and the Quality of Service settings seem to work just fine. It's prioritizing streaming video over data backups, and that's exactly what I wanted. The coverage in my house is much better than the Surfboard that we got from COX (local ISP) so nothing to complain about there.

I live in the country and there is not much service...but this router has been a real help with keeping internet to my whole house.

Had problems with our router and decided to shop for a new one. This one is super fast and have no had any issues since setting up.

The was easy for me to get up and running. The coverage in my med/large home is really good, considering I have it placed on one side of the house. With the app, I am able to check the status and receive notifications on activity within the network. This was a great purchase for me.
